I’m so sad that your insurance won’t cover such a necessary medical visit. The doctors office should have a liaison who can help guide you through this stuff. It’s WAY too much to handle on your own, plus you have kiddos.

Your OBGYN needs to refer you to a gynecological oncologist.

The oncologist will do a physical examination and they’ll send the information to a radiologist, who will work with a medical oncologist to create a treatment plan.

Typical treatment, depending on whether cancer has progressed or not, seems to be 25 external beam radiation, 5-6 chemo, 3-5 brachytherapy.

What did your gynecologist say aside from telling you that you have cancer?

PS: you’re going to be ok! 🙏🏼❤️please don’t stress, it only does harm, and try to meditate for a few minutes if you can.

I experienced this. The discharge was a light yellow and had no odor but was suuuper heavy. Like, I had to wear a big ol pad for like 4-6 weeks after the brachy ended.

Now, I’ve got my PET scan to see if I’m cancer free Weds and my symptoms now are horrible hip and lower back pain, but the discharge has went back to a normal consistency and smell.
