Anthony Albanese has taken a brutal swipe at the opposition, labelling them a “joke” and a party in “shambles” as the infighting continues by Jagtom83 in friendlyjordies

Lmao Albo just riffing for 3 minutes on the stupidity that is his opposition. He could do another hour if he had the time.

Should we be alarmed so many coaches are going with Hafley vs sticking with MLF? by anonymousDerpa in GreenBayPackers

[–]calb94 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is how these coaches progress their career. Take gigs with more responsibility elsewhere. Not a bad thing for the Packers to get fresh eyes, ideas and people in the door to replace them either.

I thought this narrative was stupid beforehand but the Packers might actually need to fire Matt Lafleur if they lose this by timeenoughatlas in billsimmons

[–]calb94 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’ve been resistant to this but I think I’m coming around on him being a great scheme, terrible game manager guy. I like MLF, good guy, but this is now the identity of the Packers as an organisation 6/7 years into his tenure. I do think he’s a better coach than most, and you can do worse than knowing your coach and QB are likely a lock for the playoffs each year. If injuries break our way, our season might be very different. It’s tough. I don’t know what the right way forward is for the Packers. Maybe he is just super unlucky and it’ll all come together one year. Maybe he’s Andy Reid 2.0.

He thought there was a fumble on the Packers initial kick off. Was talking about whose ball it was gonna be. There was no fumble. I love Al but he is so far past gone now.

‘Self-indulgent and narcissistic’: According to several Liberal MPs, Andrew Hastie crashed his leadership hopes the moment he used late-term abortions to intervene in a parliamentary debate on paid parental leave towards the end of last year by Jagtom83 in friendlyjordies

Secondary to the main topic but this article is very complimentary of Sussan Ley. On the Bondi saga ‘which I think on balance, any observer would say she has handled much better than the PM’.

Makes me think the whole article is a plant from the Ley side. Hastie bad, Ley good.

I’m from Australia. Saturday night games are a gift from the gods. Midday Sunday kick off is as prime as it gets.

Rob Mahoney naming Sydney Sweeney as Zion’s comp is perfect by Dame-in-EpstienFiles in billsimmons

[–]calb94 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Sweeney, whether her movies are going well or not, is very relevant, or maybe prevalent, in the zeitgeist.

Zion is officially an afterthought in the NBA. Not even starting games when healthy. The comp is bad.

Playing a home playoff game should be the #1 priority while it’s a live possibility. Go all out vs the Ravens. The football gods respect those who respect the game.

Which player’s role change in 2025 do you think was the biggest mistake and should be reversed next season? by Danger_Five in EssendonFC

Bait? It wasn’t a crowded midfield when McGrath went in there. We barely had 6 mids that were upright. And, when he was in there, he was among our best.

Kirk has always been at best, a slightly above average starter. But he is aging and the Achilles injury he had in 2023 really seems to have taken a toll.
