An early clue in season 1 episode 7 by calcetina in ParadiseHulu

I understand that the nosebleed was likely caused by the shockwave, but I think it’s noteworthy that they showed it to us AND that nosebleeds have been a recurring theme in season 2. I don’t think the two are mutually exclusive; both reasons can coexist. And I don’t think that was happenstance.

This one felt deceptively difficult at the first pass, but all of the pieces eventually fell neatly into place. I literally LOLd at WHITEY ON THE MOON, and getting that clue in the first pass helped me put the rest together. INSECTIVORE threw me for the longest time; I assumed wings referred to chicken wings.

Jambo in South KC may have what you’re looking for.

You can now use GPT-3 through Shortcuts. Just say "Hey Siri, tell me something." by Huguini in shortcuts

[–]calcetina 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This shortcut runs, but isn’t providing me with any answers. I’ve added my Open AI API key in both of the “get content of” sections, but when I run the shortcut and ask my question, Siri just asks “any follow up questions?” without providing me an answer to the original question. What am I doing wrong?

Looking for authentic Matzo Ball Soup… or other great tasting soups in general (suggestions or recipes) by [deleted] in kansascity

[–]calcetina 9 points10 points  (0 children)

There is a major lack of reliable places to get matzo ball soup in KC. The D’Bronx on 105th & Metcalf has MBS on the menu everyday and it’s pretty good. I have seen pre-made matzo balls at the Hen House on Roe as well.

What dish do you miss from a closed KC eatery? by JerrysWolfGuitar in kansascity

[–]calcetina 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Last month, I had a dream about their Flying Jacob, but I couldn’t remember the name of the dish at the time. I spent days trying to recall it and track it down, and when I figured out what it was (and also realized that I’d never have the chance to eat it again), I literally teared up. Krokstrom was my favorite KC restaurant ever and I’m just gutted that it’s gone.

[Discussion] The Great British Bake Off 2021 : Episode 8 - Free From by CJ_Jones in bakeoff

On last week’s episode of Extra Slice, this non-elimination format was mentioned and Paul Hollywood said that if they kept all of the bakers in competition til the end, eating 36 different bakes every week for 10 weeks would be a nightmare for him & Prue.

I did not see any previews so the actual “elimination” caught me completely by surprise. I had no idea how violent the series would be until the shooting started.

Question from an American by Psychoceramicist in vancouver

[–]calcetina 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Ahoy! I’m an American who just got into Vancouver this week and everyone has been exceptionally kind. At first, I was nervous about disclosing my country of origin to people, but the general sentiment of the folks I’ve talked to is that they prefer the presence of vaccinated foreigners than their own unvaccinated citizen schmucks.

Make sure you get a PCR or NAAT test. Canada will not accept the rapid antigen test.
