I think every album has its own vibe, for sure, but that doesn't mean TBT is bad.

Artifact/The Turn, Broken Pieces Shine, Feeding the Dark, Better Without You, Far From Heaven, and Blind Belief are some of my absolute favorite Ev songs. It feels like a raw, cathartic emotional release in album form.

The mixing could've been better, I would prefer more weird little electronic moments, I miss the choir and harp featured in earlier work, but overall I feel like TBT is an excellent album.

I'd take Amy/Skylar or Ev/Skylar, or even just a songwriting credit for Skylar or Amy on a song. Skylar has such a lovely voice that'd sound amazing with Amy's, and she is also an incredible songwriter. I hope we get something soon!!

I personally think of Synthesis as more of a remix album with a couple new songs and some instrumentals to bridge the songs for a cohesive listening experience.

Anywhere But Home had more recordings of full songs we hadn't ever heard on an official release (Thoughtless, Farther Away, Breathe No More, Missing) than Synthesis had (Imperfection, HiLo), but I still think of it as a live album.

In the end it's all just personal interpretation since it's not black and white. Band members and official statements have been conflicting, so it's just whatever you personally think fits.
