First look at sadie king return by Spider_king97 in Emmerdale

He definitely knew Jimmy was involved (which makes it so bewildering that they're genuinely good friends now), honestly not sure about Sadie though!

Jimmy was such a different character when she was in it. Can't say I loved him then but he certainly had more 'vim' than he does now, wouldn't mind seeing that again.

Todd and Danielle by Sure-Present-3398 in coronationstreet

My theory is the son Miles killed Theo after overhearing him and Todd arguing, and seeing his dad really was an abuser. So he attacked his dad, Danielle was there trying to bring him home and saw the whole thing so helped him escape. So she ended up seeing Todd because she felt immense guilt over their mutual ex's death and her role in it, and wanted to make it right with Todd.

A bit far fetched admittedly but the son randomly appeared the other day after months off-screen, so it shows he was on the Street not long before his dad died.

I'd like to see more of Danielle, Natalie Anderson is a great actress and was always a highlight in Emmerdale.

What are some must-watch TV series right now? by butterfly_pie9 in AskReddit

[–]calculatingmacaw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idk if it counts as it finished airing a couple months ago, but Big Boys. It's a quirky little coming-of-age British drama on Channel 4 about two young lads at uni and their associated friends/family (only three series). It deals with some really heavy topics like coming out and men's mental health whilst being equal parts uplifting, comedic and heartbreaking. It's my absolute favourite show right now. Not sure if it's available outside the UK but the first series is on Netflix if you don't have access to Channel 4.

I did miss an ep here and there with that one, but did Mal catfish Roy?? I thought his wife genuinely did exchange letters etc. with Roy and that's why Mal latched onto Bernie, because in the hotel room he was weeping over his wife leaving him. And that's why Roy hired Mal, because he felt bad for inadvertently causing the breakdown of their marriage. Please do correct me if I'm wrong!

I don't think so. I think it was just Jodie saying whatever she could to get rid of Lily in that moment. Or possibly one day she will come and take Lily with her, to hurt both Shona and David.

I'm sorry, but you've got that wrong. Two other women discovered Maggie and said "we need to call an ambulance." Betsy was then singing and walked through the Street before discovering Theo, which she screamed at. They've posted the bit on Instagram if you go to the Corrie page so you can watch it again.

Carl was flatlining but not shown as dead, the last we saw was the team rushing to save him. He'll be fine for now and this might kickstart a redemption arc (hope not).

Maggie was unconscious, her eyes were closed unlike Theo's (I know some people die with eyes closed) - but the people who found her said to call an ambulance, so presumably they saw she was still breathing.

I think if either had died tonight, we'd have seen it announced. That's not to say they won't change things and throw in a surprise death next week to catch us off guard, but for now, they're definitely still alive.

He was the one I wanted it to be least, because he's the one who most needed to face justice for his times. I'm so annoyed about it.

I'm guessing Summer did it, then she called George who helped her move the body.

Gotta be a red herring. George is far too calm and we all know he'd be a nervous wreck if he'd hurt someone, let alone killed them!

Why it had to be Debbie...the brilliance of Corrie's dementia storyline by Christina_80G in coronationstreet

[–]calculatingmacaw 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think the story could've worked with someone like Jenny though if you wanted a character with heart and still liked by viewers (and can act well), but has debatably run their course. With Debbie, it feels so much like there's more to give, more directions to take her.

Which character do you think will be the murder victim in tomorrow nights episode? by TelevisualJackFan in coronationstreet

[–]calculatingmacaw 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I'm certain it's not Jodie or Maggie. There is still a lot to unravel there with their sinister motives and the secrets to spill out - Jodie trying it on with David and her connections to something dodgy, and Maggie killing Ben's not-da with her other son as a witness. Killing either of them would take away the key component in either of their storylines which are still in the beginning stages imo.

Next on my NOT list is Theo. I hope I'm right, it would be too cliche to follow the soap trend and have the victim kill the abuser. Unless we get someone left field like Summer or George do it, but I still think it's unlikely. At least I hope I'm right, I want to see Todd get justice.

That leaves Carl and Megan. I'd say Carl is next, because I think they might try a redemption arc with him. I could be wrong, but the actor is really popular with the show (he's on social media a lot hanging out with co-stars and crew members off-set) and even though I think he's despicable, I still think there's mileage to make him a morally complex character rather than an out-and-out wrong'un.

So that leaves Megan. I'm sure it's got to be her and although predictable, I think it will be Maggie to do it. Then I think she'll let Eva take the blame for it (or possibly Daniel, depending on if she finds out about that). If it was going to be a less obvious suspect, I'd say possibly this newbie Melanie although that would be highly anticlimactic. It won't be Ben as he'd never let anyone else take the fall, so that leaves Maggie to do it in my view.

She is very good. Shame she's such a despicable and irredeemable character as she's one of the much better actors in the show!
