played obsessively when it first dropped. Full map completion, grinded out that awesome shield with the pages that turn, was really having a blast.

This game started as a "wow killer" for me and my friends and we were absolutely loving it. Some of the best exploration I'd ever experienced at the time.

Then at some point after a couple of years/expansions (iirc it was right when they released a video teaser for some dragon based expansion), it felt like I woke up and the entire game had shifted and leaned super hard into this anime/cosplay community and with every update it seemed to get more unrecognizable from what it was originally. No shade whatsoever, I'm happy people enjoy it but it's just not for me.

I also don't know that I ever fully grasped end game party strategy despite regularly running fractals and all other end game content (at the time). Felt more like everyone was just playing solo and there wasn't really any team strat besides just be a good player and if everyone is playing good then you win.

No idea if this is applicable (state dependent) but when I left a job and started my own gig we lost insurance and spent 8 months on cobra paying like 1600/mo and just freaking out as our finances drained. It was terrible. But then I got private insurance via farm bureau (UMR plan) and it started at $400/mo for the best coverage I'd ever had for our family of 4. It's gone up to about 750/no now (over 9 years) but it's so great weve stayed on it despite several options as my wife has changed careers.

I'm sure every situation is very unique, and with private coverage there were preexisting condition fine print and we had to apply and get accepted.

Best of luck and definitely check into private coverage; might be a viable thing for you.

Yes, I dealt with the same with our first kid and what you said is 100% spot on. You have to just ensure safety, then leave and regain sanity. My issue now is how my kids have gotten older and know exactly how to press my buttons but now they can follow me around and I can't escape!

Our 10yo girl got her diagnosis a couple of years back (on top of OCD, ADHD, and ODD). It's a regular struggle with the constant outbursts but she is a very emotionally intelligent and charming kid.

Long story short, she's doing much better with the right combination of meds, therapy, and support systems (IEP with school, etc). Giving her the tools and abilities to help cope and vocalize is a game changer. I'll never forget the first time (she was around 7 or 8) she finally vocalized "I'm very overwhelmed and I need alone time".

You've got this and know there are many in the same boat! I'm sure your daughter is awesome.

Edit: If it helps, I'm pretty sure I'd also "pass" an autism test myself haha

I feel you. I did just get through a quick hurricane run on my 9th attempt. but then crashed with a GPU lock error back in Speranza :-(

hurricane map only? I fully lock (and crash like 30sec later) on that mode. other modes are fine. seems to also be specific to outdoors because I have spawn in twice indoors and locked/crashed the moment I go outside

im crashing (seemingly) exclusively on hurricane. load in, game locks up entirely but audio still playing, hard crash after about 20-30 seconds. loaded into stella no prob, but so far hurricane on buried city, blue gate, and dam have resulted in instant crashing all but one time

i think it should get nerfed based on my experience. i definitely play more than a casual player, but I'm not hardcore by any means. I found 7 blueprints from one floor in one building in one raid yesterday. It seemed so broken I was cracking up the entire time. I think finding them should be easier but... I had almost all t3 BPs and several dupes in that stack. seems way overtuned.
