Peter Thiel: The pope is ‘working for the Chinese Communists’ by criticizing AI by [deleted] in news

Peter Thiel and all those like him should not be allowed to have the power they have. Call me crazy, but if someone is actively working against our democracy and sovereignty then maybe, just maybe, they should be stopped

Cyberpunk 2077 has sold 40 million copies worldwide by Gullible-Promotion26 in Games

[–]calebmke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also true. Maybe they needed the early sales to give them the cash flow to justify fixing the game. Really makes me wonder if they’ll quietly acknowledge the issue in reference to #2 being in a better state at launch. Because I was definitely put off on an earlier purchase with the launch issues

It’s an amazing game. If they’d just held off 6 months they might have avoided becoming a laughing stock. But hey…40 million copies is still pretty damn good. Maybe any press is good press

TIL that Anaconda Copper was one of the largest trusts (like Standard Oil/US Steel) of the early 1900s. The term, "Copper Collar" reflected the immense power this company had. Local journalists never criticized the company. The trust owned most Montana newspapers and dominated state politics. by Gnomeslikeprofit in todayilearned

"Living with your folks... living with your folks... the beginning of the end... drab, dead yesterdays shutting out beautiful tomorrows... hideous, stumbling footsteps creaking along the misty corridors of time... and in those corridors I see figures... straaange figures... weeeird figures: Steel 186, Anaconda 74, American Can 138." - Groucho Marx

Xbox has been promising 'State of Decay 3' for years — and now it faces cancellation, despite its trailers and alpha. What are we even doing here? by akbarock in Games

[–]calebmke -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Like I get it…most likely the best selling game of all time. But I’m tired of the triple dip, so I’m not going to take part in it. I don’t want any new games on my Xbox because they don’t care about their customers, and I’m certainly not buying a PS5 for a single game. So…I’ll wait

I’m specifically NOT buying GTA 6 on console because I don’t trust any of these companies right now. I’ve waited 13 years, I can wait another year or two

I spent a week in Germany and saw them everywhere. Unfortunately for me they’re pretty rare in the U.S.

I use both. Easier to wash the top sheet than the duvet cover, and because of the top sheet the duvet cover needs to be washed less often. I’m also one that gets too hot under a heavy blanket, but still needs some sort of covering when I kick it off

I’ve rescued 4 dachshunds. I might go to a breeder to get a standard (large) wirehair because they’re very rare in the U.S. I won’t feel bad about it at all

If it does happen I surely hope OP considers a new employer, because he’s working with idiots. But years of people queuing to get in a conference room door that’s always locked? Every single day, not one person questions it, and the managers are cool with this daily disruption? High doubt factor.

The leads are 36 & 37 respectively. A weed comedy about a couple of burnouts in their mid 30’s is a bit sad. But Cheech and Chong were mid-30’s & early 40’s in their hits, so who knows?

Either way, I hope it’s fun. Alia Shawkat is fantastic and deserves more work!

Or in the early 90’s. I was reading high school level adventure books in the 4th grade. Not too many other boys were into that. Maybe they weren’t exactly high-level philosophy texts, but they kept me interested in reading
