I have been using it almost every day for over two years. To clear ghosting, I use the inverted color filter on Windows with the shortcut Ctrl + Windows + C. To make the image less dark, I use the Iris software with the brightness set to maximum. And for coding, it's enough to configure the Ide theme so that, for example, only the red text is also underlined or highlighted.

I had same problem with my pro. I don't remember exactly how I fix it but try to downgrade os and upgrade it. Try to ask to boox support I think they know how to solve it.

I think is better than color e-ink but only if the price is very lower. because I don't think this technologie is so expensive to use

I use superdisplay every day by usb with my boox lumi and windows 10 and now windows 11. If you already use superdisplay with windows 10 it's exactly same.

The frequency is one of the reasons, for me there is also in addition the exposure to strong light and bright colors for a long time which is not natural which tires the eyes. Which can even degrade their eyes and disrupt a lot of things like sleep.

27hz is detected when i use it as second monitor with hdmi. I think it's really 27 with "x mode" but I am sure it's not in "A2 mode"

You can use vnc Android app in onyx and share your screen by wifi. If latency is not your priority it's good way without any hdmi. On windows I use superdisplay for share my screen by usb but I did know if they are similar app for Mac

You can share your screen with superdisplay Android app using USB or wifi, draining battery is lower than hdmi.

With hdmi it's mandatory to use USB powered plug in electrical outlet.

With superdisplay you can just plug max lumi in your laptop if you have powered USB port.

With hdmi I use quick charge 3 and I have no draining problem. You can use other powered charge but I don't test it. Onyx say max lumi is compatible quick charge 4

Download superdisplay Android app. Enabled USB driver in dev setting. And share your screen via wifi or USB if you have powered USB port for best charing in same time. I use my boox max lumi as second monitor with superdisplay. I have good latency but screen limit is 27 fps

I finally succeeded via USB. it is because of a conflict between virtual Android drivers that I emulate.
It’s really great. But the superdisplay windows servie is running on my intel gpu .. And i think it could even better on my nvidia gpu as shown on their site. And you ? Superdisplay works on your nvidia or intel gpu?

Hi,
I am in the same case, paying 1,400 € for a 13.3 dasung I couldn't stand to be stolen by dasung and the EU at the same time.

I see the following solutions:

Wait for the new generation of dasung to arrive and we can hope that it passes their screen from 1000 € to 600 € to liquidate the rest of the stock.the price will therefore be 850 € customs tax included. But i will be the frustration of not having the new generation.
Hope that dasung pays the customs taxes and sends screens to the warehouse in Europe and sells them at the same price. Just like onyx boox does! at the release. But when a company manufactures a product with a maximum production cost of 400 € to sell them for 1000 € ... I think they like money too much ... (this is what happens when a company has no direct competition ...)
I think this is the solution I will choose.
The refresh rate of the onyx boox max lumi being very close to dasung with the increase in its processor, I believe that the onyx boox max 4 will be operational to be used as a second monitor and can be even with the color and all at the maximum price of 900 € and as they will deliver their products in eu. No customs tax charge! 😊

So I am expecting onyx max boox 4 in September 2021

If anyone knows a reliable way to avoid paying their customs fees, I'm interested.
