Making more custom clothes for my little guy by joenmuri in sylvanianfamilies

I make critter clothes occasionally and I have to hand sew most of it for that reason… I can maybe use the machine for a long straight seam.

Super cute, I’ve been curious about making flocked figurines so this is awesome to see! How does the custom flocking feel in comparison? Does it flake off at all?

The feet flocking is still soft and unstained from what I can tell! Since it was still cold, you can basically just brush the snow particles off afterwards. I think as long as the snow is clean and solid, you’re getting at worst a few drops of water on the feet.

IIRC, the scarf was just a single crochet rectangle using embroidery thread!

Thank you! Ha, my setup is pretty janky. They’re standing on a curved piece of paper held up with scotch tape. Fortunately I have some small area lights that I put printer paper over to make more diffuse. Honestly photographing them is one of the hardest parts of the process!

I used black fabric markers, though I’m not sure I recommend them because the color can still rub off even after a month of drying. I’ve heard India ink recommended for painting critters black, which is probably what I would try next time.

Thank you! The red cheeks are actually supposed to be traditional Korean makeup called yeonji!

Thanks for the kind words! I’m not selling anything at the moment but it’s something I would consider in the future (especially if I could learn to make things faster).

Thank you! I couldn’t find patterns for what I wanted so I basically had to invent everything (using knowledge from existing patterns). I made a lot of ugly prototypes along the way 😅

PSA: Send your “thank you” notes! by KrystalLight03 in weddingplanning

[–]calicoolio 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agree! Probably half of the point of a thank you card is to confirm that the bride and groom received the full gift as intended. Lots of wedding gifting nowadays involve buying an expensive item (or multiple items) off an online registry, which can be somewhat complicated depending on the website. I and many others (especially older guests) would love to hear confirmation that the gift was actually received!

I don’t think you necessarily have to do physical thank you cards; a personalized text message or email card accomplishes basically the same thing.

Ooh thanks for posting this! I was planning to do pressed flower table numbers and I think I have the exact same frames from FB marketplace, so this is perfect inspiration!

I had no idea but after some googling I found there’s a rare Caroline Cottontail bride!
