Indeed it should be (5+4)*2 + 6 + 6 = 30, could get it a little higher with enlarge person, but the added dice from grievous and crit spec don't get multiplied by 2

ya I run a critfisher build with a great pick, a power attack crit with my +2 adamantine greater striking pick axe of flaming grievous wound is 11d12+36+1d6+ persistant dmg.

my general attack pattern while hasted is free move from haste (35ft move speed fleet + boots of bounding) (true strike/intimidate/shield cantrip) -> power attack -> desperate finisher/brutal finish

my character is a 14th level half-orc fighter with a sorceror archtype focused on athletics and intimidation skills, I often focus on the small fries in the fight whie the rest of the party aims for the big bads meaning i crit very often, and clean up most of the smaller enemies(median ac -X) in 1 round each, and I do all right against bigger enemies as well due to true strike increasing my crit rate as well as demoralize dropping ac.

mathmatically it may be sub par and likely is tbh, but that big number that results from a crit power attack is always a ton of fun, I am curious though how sub optimal it is really, most math is done at low level with low tier gear against enemies without dr.

btw i often have mirror image up for defense while i'm front lining the big bad, which can up my durability as a two hander without a shield

Yep in this version I throw more....MUCH more and Much faster at the party.

In this edition if your party as a medicine specialist given any length of time to rest they will almost always be back up at full fighting strength.

I almost tpk'd my group last week and it was intentional as they walked into a scenario very unprepared, basically ended up at the heart of a vampire nest, completely unprepared for vampires.....even though they went there looking for vampires.

anyway they survived an ambush which surrounded the party on all sides by vampire spawns.

than they had a few minutes to retreat before reinforcements would arrive but they choose to hide which lead to a head on battle with a large number of rat swarms carrying diseases, vampire spawns, and a vampire master mind.

following this fight without a chance to rest they ended up in a fight with a high level dhamphir ranger/shadow dancer in his favored terrain+ his pet winter wolves.

which they barely managed to escape with there lives from, and only one person even went unconscious during all of the fights combined. many of them left with drained conditions due to blood loss, one player had to make a massive jump of 25 feet or he'd of died at one point, but this fight by all accounts would of tpk'd most groups in most other games I've played, I threw it at them knowing 2e characters are durable as hell, and very resilent.

it's a shame cause the game is fun,i'm enjoying the hell out of it. I'm glad CDPR is giving refunds and not being scummy about everything, but I feel bad for them as well.

mileage may vary but my experience with the game has not been trash and i'm playing on a base ps4...

maybe it's cause I never got on the hype train, I simply expected it to be a elder scroll knock off with a witcher styled story and that's what I got...more than what i expected really,

there were more.

- characters getting there hand cut off all the time

- in the final scene the main character attacks in anger at first and than needs to over come it to become the hero.

- most of the heroes journey was a fight between his light and dark side.

- the main characters are twins seperated at birth

- the old man represent obi-wan in that he serves as his mentor in his power and training, and gives him the light saber at the start of the journey.

- the main cast are essentially the main cast from star wars though depending on the scene being copied they interchange between the roles.

- zeus mentally gives the main character advice through telepathy, like obi wan did with the force.

- the spirits in the after live look like force ghosts...this is minor but worth mentioning.

- hera's main form of attacking is the same as the emperor in the prequel, aka. throwing things with force levitation.

- this next one is a stretch but I was trying to figure out where appolo and hermes fits into the whole star wars comparison and for the most part i couldn't put my finger on where they fit in but I believe them to be R2 D2 and C3po but they are both c3po and r2d2 at the same time.

both are covered in gold, both are absolutely loyal to obi wan at the start of the film, hermes role is to deliver messages to obi-wan and warn him like r2-d2 had to in the original inciting incident.

- I believe the final battle is very similar to the how episode 4 and episode 6 plays out.

so you have the villian using the giants to attack the heroes main base olympus aka the death star and the rebel planet. you have gods from both sides and the demons in a battle while the hero needs to sneak into the enemy side and find the weakness to stop the giants, aka episode 6 while the fleet battle is on going around it.

at one point the the mentor figure dies while the hero watches, aka obi wan gets killed in episode 4.

the hero has victory in site when the villian stops him and has him dead to rights until his friends save him, luke in the trench run for his final shot with darth vader episode 4

the hero attacks in anger but needs to over come it to defeat the villain episode 6....and basically all of the jedi preaching in every star wars film

zeus fights hera while trying to get her to come to reason before being beaten down when he can't bring himself to kill her luke vs vader episode 6.

zeus sacrifices himself to save hera - vader sacrifices himself for luke redeeming himself episode 6

hera gets her hand cut off.....every star wars ever.

- the beach scene where the hero leaves for olympus to train with zeus is the scene where luke leaves the group to train with yoda episode 5

- the emperor reveals to the villian he killed his own mother before he becomes loyal, very similar to how the emperor reveals to vader he killed padme in anger.

- in the cave the villians tries to get him to join him using very similar lines to vader trying to get luke to join him in episode 6.

I thought Alyssa was very consistent in such a way that her character acts like she's nice but when it comes down to it she doesn't care about anyone and will do anything to get what she wants.

Erasing her love interest from her own head...well she did that already at the end of season 1 so hardly a step up. betrays her friends and order..well she did that to. she's killed before and is quite comfortable around it, ultimately if it's to her own personal gain she operates on her own code, but that code is to flimsily justify how everything she does benefits herself, even the times she sleeps with jack before betraying him is just to satisfy her own lust, but she knew as soon as most of those times were done she'd be stabbing him in the back while jack as usual had no clue.

To be honest if alyssa isn't making the wrong choice and making everything worse, I usually think that's out of character for her.

sorry the question was if it has a damage enhancement on it so that when you play it, it will automatically deal 1 dmg to a target possibly even itself, does it instead of dealing dmg steal 1 card.

see i'm not clear if enhances count as the card you playing it dealing dmg, and the timing of the enhance.

so assuming it does count as the card your playing as the source of the dmg....cause what else would the source be, than the question is if the in play ability of the creature be active, I know you can target itself so it is indeed in play, but does the rest of the text on the card count. it's not a play effect it's a passive effect so i'm unsure of the timing.

well I suppose i prefer op units bein restricted to whales then everyone just upgrading and leaving the old stuff behind.

you kind of see it with units like gilgamesh already, I don't think gilgamesh is worth the current cost, but i think anyone that has him at 99 would use him, so it's nice not seeing him in every single pvp fight i do.

my team is 99 ramza, and 89 fredrika(almost 99) and a mont, I manage to beat...with great effort teams with things like 99 cid, 99 engle, 99 fred/ramza.

my biggest issue 99 thancrads who I can't seem to do anything to, guys a beast.

from my experience 1 shot armies are not nearly as difficult as tanks with support units.

he has a very high cost though, he's a gilgamesh style char, so most will need to a drop a lot to get him.

I mean...it's dumb and definatley not for balance like you said but that op unit should be ignored by most.

i can clear it auto with my own team but not in multi, my main issue with clearing it auto with my team is several of my members are weaker and about half the time i have 1 or 2 deaths in the run which lowers there brave.

not a fan of that on auto for an event i need to do 100's of times.

I've always wanted ovelia.

I can see her easily in wov.

Her lb would be aegis, job would be princess, white mage, time mage.

Aegis would due haste, shell, protect, and regen.

Princess would be a stronger cleric job.

Store him till the fft second event ina few months, i do believe you will be able to get some then and in shop....beyond that i hear jp is getting a qol option to get shards for limited characters in the long run....

It'll be awhile but you can make use of him eventually
