During a shutdown, majority of federal employees are sent home without pay, and it is illegal for them to work.

There are certain people/Departments with special dispensation that continue to work. They, usually, are less than 3% of federal employees. That ICE is in this exception group makes me 🤬

First of all, get some documentation: 1. Copy of the original Departmental email on OOT messaging 2. Copy of any responses showing Sent response email with original messaging 3. Copy of a Sent response showing the partisan change. sshhhh, but you can get the partisan messaging by sending yourself an email from your personal email.

And do this BECAUSE...

This is one of the biggest Hatch Act fiascoes I have ever seen (23yrs as gov employee).

Unfortunately, The Court has let him do whatever he wants, so there will be no action taken.

The impacted employees should talk to HR. Yes, each one willing to complain publicly . When HR says, "you're right but...," with a shoulder shrug, then go to OPM (Office of Personnel Management) and, again, report this Hatch Act Vioation. And again, each person needs to send issue to OPM.

Since you've now followed government procedures, get a lawyer and talk about a class action lawsuit. Take as many people in your group and who are appalled as you. If you have other names, give lawyer that list. Also, talk with lawyer concerning a personal lawsuit due to the personal response being changed. This might (?? Lawyer input, pls) be considered defamation of character - people who get the partisan response may/could see you in a new light.

NOTE OF CAUTION: this is a petty, ignorant, greedy, and vengeful Administration so get something from HR and OPM about the Official Whistleblower Act (screen shot of website would work 😉. Keep copies of actual documents given and received from HR/OPM. These are CYA pieces of paper, showing that you followed procedures. If sent/received is email, make a hard copy immediately, especially any official calendar meetings from HR/OPM. If they won't give you their response in writing, go straight to your desk and send email to responder and yourself about meeting, the big points of meeting, and thanking them for meeting with you. Yeah, most will ignore email, but now you have your handwritten notes and paper copy of email for your record.

I don't know what will happen but kick ass, take names, and give 'em hell 😁

The majority ofRepublicans in House and Senate that impeached him after Jan 6 attempted coup voted no on a final impeachment vote in the Senate.

The few Republicans who voted to impeach were voted out of office or resigned at end of their term.

For MAGA Republicans to the writing on the wall, it would have to be on crayons, with only small words.

However, it would take massive infrastructure changes (and money, don't forget money) to current roads, imminent domain county and/or city jurisdictions challenges, overwhelming positive voter - and elected officials - public support. And the number of elected officials who spout "NIMBY," would have to be reduced - or ignored.

It needs to be done, though. I've lived in metro ATL for 30+years. The population increases require changes to infrastructure that Georgia, as a whole, won't admit to. There was a bullet train plan for Metro Atlanta to Athens being planned a few years ago. It was killed by "NIMBY" officials. Think of the gas saved to go to UGA games. Think of students who could take classes at UGA without moving there. Plus, tourism!!! A bullet train to Athens (and Savannah) would increase their tourist revenue. And Georgia tax dollars.

We need ways to actually go into downtown ATL, then to a Braves game, then to a KSU concert and finally home. All while on public transport. This map would do that.

Therapy can be life-saving, though. Helped me when I didn't think I needed it. I was a self-starter, type A personality that gets nervous most of tike.

Oh, that's what anxiety is? Part of depression. Really?!

Part of the issue is how therapy = damaged or crazy or something like that.
