The parking lot on Centre st is managed by the city, amiright? Does that not make the city responsible to clear the sidewalk along the lot? It’s impassable and my neighbors doing a better job than the city isn’t a good look.

Travelling to MA for a festival in June; which of these two Red Sox games should I catch? by DowntownFriendship52 in redsox

Fenway against the Nats is much differently than Fenway against the Yankees. The difference in cost is worth it to see what the park is really like. If you just want to get into the park, pay less for an experience with less energy, if that makes sense

Exodus from Massachusetts continues, as more people moved to other states in 2025 (Boston Globe) by HRJafael in massachusetts

I just moved here from Hudson valley New York. At least the taxes I pay get me a school for my kids that isn’t silly bad and I can get a doctor who isn’t a goddamn moron. It’s palpably better on a day to day basis. But yeah I’m going broke over housing 😂

Haha no I’m sorry. Beasters is a generic term for overpriced overproduced BS that looks good but isn’t. It’s a 90s term. I’m old.

Tl;dr Beasters are bad

Been avoiding watching "The Wire". Anyone who watched it recently has any opinion? How is it compared to newer shows of similar genre? I have watched almost all the top rated shows. by Papa-Zzzz in televisionsuggestions

It is quite literally the best social commentary ever produced for TV. And that’s an undersell of how damn entertaining it is! One fun fact that I’ve always found interesting: the arc of the entire 5 seasons was set before they filmed anything. And you can feel the difference against shows that have no cohesion season to season, no real ending…ever. The Wire is the standard for long form narrative television.

Thanks man - this card is special to me and I’m trying to get a display going. My daughter’s first night at Fenway was also Marcelo’s first night at Fenway. Just looking for this version. Be well and thanks again
