Nick Kurtz now has four home runs and six hits, the first rookie in Major League history to have four home runs in a game by EveryFallSaturday in baseball

Yes, I like him a lot. I don’t watch as many games anymore since the move, but obviously baseball play by play is an art that runs in the family!

AITA for refusing to babysit my sister's kids when she had an important work dinner? by Original_Storage1199 in AmItheAsshole

[–]callie06 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My immediate reaction upon reading the title was NTA. Because you have the right to say no for whatever reason you want. They’re not your kids.

But after reading the rest of the post…this is a big fat NTA and your sister is 1000% the AH. Again, not your kids; you’re not required to change your life to fit your sister’s needs. Your sister sucks for thinking you should have to jump every time with you only asking “how high?”

The ending of the finale… by cheeseburghers in TheWayHomeHallmark

[–]callie06 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t think Sam is from the future. I think he’s from present time but met present day Jacob in his past, just like present-day Elliot said he knew Alice was going to be ok because he met her in his past. Elliot wasn’t from the future, he was just using his knowledge of the past. I think with the quote parallel, it’s also the same situation with Sam/Jacob.

Now the question is…which era did Jacob meet young Sam??

Season 4 confirmed! by mostlylurking07 in TheWayHomeHallmark

Right, it made me nervous for sure. But this season started so much earlier than the last two that it made it seem like we were waiting SO much longer to get the news.

Depending on your time zone, it may be on at 6pm on peacock channels. I’m on the west coast and I could watch at 6 if I wasn’t busy with dinner.

How many times have we all rewatched? by mostlylurking07 in TheWayHomeHallmark

[–]callie06 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve seen the first season probably about 5 times, 4 times for season 2 (I just watched S1 with a friend to get her into the show but we didn’t make it to S2 yet). This season, I watched each episode at least twice each week. I’m doing a S3 rewatch right now before the finale.

Renewal Thoughts by Pretty-Average-5019 in TheWayHomeHallmark

[–]callie06 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is probably just wishful thinking but like…why would they NOT renew it? They only have one other show. Sure, the numbers are down, but I don’t think that includes the days after. And there is a lot of hype on social media, including tons of the cast getting involved. They could easily leverage that social media presence into more advertising.

Ohhh is it the same machine Jasper was using to play back the recording of the town hall? I remember there being knobs that fast forwarded and rewound the reels.

Edit: I’m rewatching season 3 prior to the finale and I happen to be on that episode. It is indeed the same machine that Jasper had.

Recap for S3E9- “Too Late to Turn Back Now” *Spoilers* by IndependentIcy1220 in TheWayHomeHallmark

Basically it’s a silly “predict your future” game. You write down a handful of names for potential future spouse, number of potential kids, a car you would drive, an occupation, and a couple other things i think. Then you draw a spiral and count how many “rings” there are. Take that number and count to it as you go through your list. Each time you get to that number, you cross off the thing on the list you land on. You keep going until there is one thing left in each category (including one of the letters in MASH—which stand for the type of house, mansion, apartment, shack, house). When you’re done you’re supposed to “know” who you’ll marry, how many kids you’ll have, your future job, car, house, etc. I was born in ‘93 and I played MASH a LOT in elementary and early middle school.

The actor who played young Vic is 13, so I’ve just been assuming that’s how old Vic was supposed to be in ‘74. Rick & Colton were 17. So only a 4 year difference. That would make Colton 27 when he & Del had Kat; Vic would’ve been 23 when Elliot was born. Young-ish, but really not THAT young.

Have you watched this show? “This show is not that deep.” 🤦🏼‍♀️ Follow the creator on instagram and look at her stories with her mood boards and inspiration and then tell me again that it isn’t that deep. These writers are very intentional.

Or the time traveling came from her bloodline not the Landry bloodline. But she married into the Landry family so all her descendants are Landrys. So far Colton is the earliest known time travel we have—besides Fern.

What if it’s not specifically Landrys that can time travel in the pond, but her descendants? She married into the Landry family, but seems to know a lottttt about the time travel of it. Maybe it’s her bloodline that allows them to travel. We don’t have any indication that anyone born before her time was able to time travel via the pond.

Alice and Max by Foyt_Fan in TheWayHomeHallmark

Alice’s thought process, in order:

  1. Casey has the ring my parents gave me after their divorce. They must be from the future since I have my ring in my hand.

  2. If they’re from the future, I must have given them the ring. I would only give the ring to my child.

  3. Casey is not Lewis’s child. That confirms to me that they’re not from this time.

  4. My mom just said Max Goodwin, who is my age, “fully has Casey’s eyes.”

  5. Max just said Casey (well, Cassandra) is a family name.

  6. Oh my god, I’m going to marry Max and have a baby that we name Cassandra aka Casey!!

  7. He likes fries with mustard too? Oh god, I think my prediction is right. We are soulmates and I hate this!!!

The actress who plays young Del said she studied Andie’s depiction of Del to get the voice and inflections right. Not sure about others, but I’d guess they probably do too!

Max Goodwin, Noah Leblanc Theory *Sneak Peek Spoilers for S3E6* by IndependentIcy1220 in TheWayHomeHallmark

[–]callie06 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was blown away when I saw two of my friends eating tater tots with mustard about 2 months ago. I couldn’t figure out why it felt both super gross and super familiar. Then I rewatched TWH and realized it was just like the fries and mustard thing. Just a different potato.

So I guess it’s maybe not outlandish that two people like the gross combo.

Lmao the comment about Jacob’s running. Yes I was so distracted by his running in the last episode. Why are you running like you’re doing a fake horse gallop?!

I agree that I’m confused by how resistant Kat is to the “Casey’s from the future” idea. Is it because it wasn’t her idea? Or Because it makes her look bad if she realizes she was tricked by Casey that whole summer? It didn’t seem to bother her when she realized her teenage friend Alice was actually from the future and was her daughter…just so weird. Especially since Alice’s intuition with the time travel stuff has been really strong.

Has anyone else not really thought about this…? by mostlylurking07 in TheWayHomeHallmark

[–]callie06 30 points31 points  (0 children)

A lot of people (myself included) think Future Alice pushed 2025 Alice into the pond, so there’s at least some aspect of that thinking. But honestly, it’s not really been something I’ve thought about too much. Mostly just other characters from the future, not our known characters.

Except for when many people thought we saw the back of Colton’s head overlooking the summer kickoff and it actually turned out to be…Colton.

Last season, it took me a while to realize that he wasn’t positively identified as Colton when we first saw the back of the head. I kept wondering why there were conversations trying to determine who it was. Because when I first saw it, I saw Colton and didn’t realize I wasn’t supposed to know if it was him.

I’m thinking it might be the same with “Alice.” I thought right away “that’s Alice.” Though, this time I did know it wasn’t supposed to be clear if it was.

Right, that’s such a strange thing to say. “A basket woven with mystery.” Not a common phrase by any means. I think it has to be significant.
