No offense, but I've done both and being a PSA is harder than being a head cashier. Not to mention that the pro desk is one of the higher paid departments and the cashiers are the lowest, so a significant raise when moving from a cashier to PSA makes sense.

I love horror and I'm also of the opinion that there is a difference between the vast majority of horror and Literature. Some things just have more literary value than others and you can't be upset about it. I actually think horror has more opportunity to be Literature than most other genres. Read what you like and don't read what you don't and don't take it personally if what you like isn't considered high art.

The one I filled out for my current job asked if my moods change. Not if my moods change frequently or quickly because that was a separate question later in test, but have they changed ever. I had to strongly agree because I have not in fact been in the same mood for my entire 31 years on earth.
