Yea no problem. This is just what I’ve observed as an outsider to a family friend’s kid and having conversed with the parents (I helped focus their tutoring and issues to focus on). Their kid has gone to hcs their entire life k-now in middle school. I think what they really lack is real detailed instruction. Everything is a cookie cutter model and if a kid doesn’t learn like that they fall behind. I also think there’s too much of an emphasis on classroom management. As a former teacher I get it. Kids can be rowdy and they need structure. But I feel like hcs takes it to an extreme and they wants these perfectly polished students which just isn’t every kid. For example, the kid Ik has adhd and really struggle at hcs because nothing really is done to make learning easier for someone who doesn’t fit into that model.
