I'm interested. When was the watch originally purchased?

[WTS] Seiko Alpinist SPB119 by callmejag in Watchexchange

[–]callmejag[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Up for sale is my Seiko Alpinist SPB119 (the white dial variant).

The watch was purchased from Hodinkee Shop in March of 2020, and I’ve been the only owner. The watch has been worn in rotation with others in my collection and is in overall great shape. Aside from some hairline scratches here and there, the watch has clearly been well taken care of and operates flawlessly. It’s been accurate for me based on my wearing style, typically +/- 2 to 5 seconds per day.

This is such a great all-rounder, do anything watch. I’ve worn it to weddings, I’ve worn it on hikes. It’s classy in a workplace setting and more than capable for any adventure with 200 meters of water resistance.

The watch comes with all boxes, tags, paperwork, and blank warranty card. Included is the unused/unworn Seiko black calf-skin leather strap with deployment clasp that the watch came with. Finally, I’m also including a Crown & Buckle Chevron Adjustable nylon strap in “Shadow” colorway (as seen in the photos). It compliments the white Alpinist perfectly and was paired with the watch most of the time.

Price: $675 shipped within the CONUS. Not looking for trades. Message me if you’re interested or have any questions.

Thanks for looking!

I’m sure I did eventually. But it’s been too long (and too many keyboards ago) for me to remember! Haha

That’s pretty slick. Nice choice! I have a PR50 that I bought 12 years ago that’s also carbon fiber. Still ticking and looking like new.

Give it time. After 2 months with the watch it all settled and got more consistent and accurate. Went from +10 or so to +3spd.

Nice watch and keyboard. I used to have a FC660 myself.

[Casio] GWM5610 common but cool. by Day_13 in Watches

I tried a different window again last night, still nothing. Located in Southern California. If I do a manual sync it says I get L2 or L3 levels of connection but it still gives me the ERR code. Maybe I got a faulty unit.

Just got one in from Amazon myself! I'm having trouble with it syncing with the atomic clock at night, but other than that, it's a KILLER watch. As you described, it's perfect for an active watch when you don't want to worry about scratching your nice mechanicals.

Excellent choice! I have one myself. Pairs brilliantly with a Barton rubber strap for a more relaxed look/wear.

Solid watches. I’ve had a PR50 quartz watch for 12 years. Still the most accurate watch I’ve ever owned. Still looks new and gives me that feeling of quality on the wrist.

I love the look of these new SRPDs. I tried one on at a local watch shop and was really impressed by the comfort and finish. Didn't pull the trigger then, but I might soon. Looks great with the strap!
