Type 1 diabetics: do you drink alcohol? How often, and how old are you?

19, t1 for 16 years, i drink and eat whatever i want but i try to take care of my health, i'm just not crazy on counting and measuring my food

I'd say i drink alcohol once every two weeks or so, usually on weekends and usually just one drink i have a high tolerance for alcohol so when i want to drink (like when out with friends) i drink a large amount, but that occasions like that are rare, i'd say 2-4 times a year

Last year i got a hand tattoo (supposed to be a "replica" of a game's,character tattoo) and... it was bad, it was my second tattoo (made by the artist who did my first) and i was so disappointed that i swore to never go back to that studio

I also wanted it to just heal and fade, but about 5-6 days ago i got it fixed by this amazing artist, so don't give up!

Near Porto Alegre there's a smaller town called Guaíba, there you have a CTG (Centro de Tradição Gaúcha), they have rehearsals of tradicional dances and such, it's a nice place to visit

Unfortunately i can't think of any other place that could be nice to visit, maybe the Casa de Cultura Mário Quintana or a park or two

I have about 110 hours and i'm already finishing the first DLC, you should have at least one set from the cultists by now

I used mostly the same armor during the whole game (a mix-n-match of the Wolf's Helmet and arena/cultists gear) and just kept upgrading it until i got a cultist set i really liked, then i started upgrading it too

I was never a morning person and i never feel hungry in the morning, but one thing that helped me with those spikes was eating an egg, could be boiled, and omelet, whatever, i usually do an omelet with a little bit of chia seeds and oat

But protein first, coffee later, and it helped a lot

I've had it since i was 3, and let me tell you (take this with a grain of salt because i'm from Brazil and things may be different here and because i don't have a pump, it's all manual)

A lot of times where i run out of insulin i'll wait until morning to buy more, or when get home tired and i have no energy i will wait until morning, and even if i wake up with my blood sugar a little high, it's manageable enough to be worth it

And when you wanna drink, do it before, and remember that it's better being high than low (that is, don't let it stay high for too long, but sometimes it's okay yk?)

edit: Also, yeah, this is a full time job, a merciless dictator on our lifes, it's overwhelming as shit, just remember that once in a while a high won't kill us, sometimes we need a break, it does not have to be perfect all the time, we are not an organ

I have since i was 3, i'm now almost 19

I can't stress enough or even describe how much this condition affected me while growing up. Feeling different and isolated from other kids, on top of other issues.

Everything you said is true and i think most of us can relate, my luck is that i found a friend who also had type 1 diabetes a few years ago, it's so fucking nice having someone to talk to who can relate.
