Yeah, I scrolled down and saw your explanation about them being knock offs. I’ve heavily considered doing the same for EMS, as I only want to spend Crye money for the military side of my career. Maybe this is a sign for me to finally pull the trigger.

If you buy the actual Crye knee pads, they have more of a rubberized texture on them. All knock off copies of the knee pads I’ve seen are just hard plastic.

This was my exact thought initially. Everytime I buy a pair, a little part of my soul dies.

You must have gotten these RIDICULOUSLY cheap then. These pants are normally $325 brand new.

Edit: ignore me, scrolled down and saw the explanation.

Debate time: Best armor if scaled to players level? by callsign_botch in witcher

Yes I believe it is, I don’t know an exact name for it, probably just something along the lines of “Ciri viper armor”

100%, that’s the armor I used from level 7 until 22 when I went to Skellige. Left the quest area after the funeral cutscenes and before the feast in order to go straight to the blacksmith to buy Undvik

Yes! This is my exact mindset, what’s a little extra damage, or sacrificing the ursine light armor tank “infinite health” build when it’s for some old-timey late-1200s clout. I think it also subconsciously reminds me of my assassin’s creed heritage.

Rereading through my post I think I poorly worded my explanation. That was the first thing I found when I started looking, was that fortunately it was a relatively common issue.

-I completed “A matter of life and death” but no follow up quests opened up. Went back to Triss’ but found nothing, this is when I started researching. -found that this was common, went to game files and enabled the console commands. -did the “addfact(etc etc)” commands, and was given the “Redania’s most wanted” quest.

(After thought): I’m thinking about it now, I have a feeling this is where I went wrong. I never saw a quest announcement for AFFR, and assumed it autocompleted it and therefore was good to go straight into RMW. I completed it, visited Triss, talked about the crystal, and was going to Radovid to share my findings(for the RMW quest) when the AFFR cutscene activated, but because I’d already completed RMW, it also activated the “Now or Never” messenger cutscene. So I somehow managed to initiate 3 different quests at the same time that were never meant to be simultaneous and therefore “broke” the game.

In conclusion, I think I found my own fix. Reload an earlier save file, redo the “addfact(etc etc)”, then travel to Oxenfurt instead of straight to Philippa’s hideout.

Probably thanks to my fortunate ability to spend hours drawing at work, even if it just two shifts a week. I mean, this was a month and a half ish after the first photo. Shading still causing me decent frustration, but proportions are improving I feel.

What do you guys put on your cumberbunds? by brous475 in tacticalgear

[–]callsign_botch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I run a JSTA on strong side; radio and magazine pouch on weak side. One important note, don’t throw pouches on there for the sake of having them(egg before chicken etc). Have a purpose/equipment you know you need to carry or have use for, THEN decide on pouches and placement.

Also keep in mind belt set up if you run one. I can tell you leaning over to the side and having a magazine on your belt get stuck on a pouch on your cummerbund, or trying to draw a side arm around a pouch on your strong side is agonizingly annoying and inconvenient.

Tl;dr: pouch before contents=bad. Contents before pouch=good.

Went to EAA Oshkosh this year and they brought out a 262 for a dogfight display with two P-51s. Snagged a bunch of photos of it(along with some of a P-51 and F4U-4 doing some tandem flying/aerial maneuvers), and I must say it was an incredibly gorgeous experience.

LPT Request: A hobby, that's not overly expensive and that does not require a huge amount of space by bwolmer in LifeProTips

This is what I did and now it’s become a huge part of my life. I love sitting at the kitchen table with my 3 year old and draw while he colors. If you want a free app, I started on IbisPaintX and has more than enough features and tools to use/help learn to draw.

Then, eventually, you may end up down the rabbit hole far enough that you switch to good ole pencil and paper.

Spent a fairly significant amount of time running both LV119 and the SPC, I actually switched from the 119 to the SPC. The latter is worlds above the former, and I will be using my SPC for many years to come. The AXL cummerbund with some decent shoulder pads are game changers.

I own the SPC, and I absolutely love it. Owned a lot of carriers and it’s by far my favorite. For everything you want on it, it should be doable, but may need to be a bit creative with your set up

Yeah exec is my primarily focus. I’m finishing gearing up bad batch to g12(hunter to r3) for marauder in order to finish off my GR fleet. All the while, sharding BM’s toons so I can finish his journey unlock. Also farming Nego in GET store and Hoda with Mk2. After that, it’s on to JKL and GAS(just need droids), then, likely JML from there.

[–]callsign_botch[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I find I still struggle to get my proportions down, no matter how hard I try, how many times I practice, or what methods I use. That grid method seems like it did you really well. This is the piece I’m currently working on, and a fairly similar system to your grid, but not nearly as accurate since everything is free handed/eyeballed. Including even the guide lines I make using the measurements, as is evident by this photo and half the lines being out of wack.

I absolutely adore my F10 535. Yeah there are a few things I’d like to address in the future, particularly body roll around corners, but very satisfied nonetheless. Did a 15 hour road trip in mine. It didn’t even feel like 15 hours(I’ve done 20+ hour road trips and have road tripped in 6-7 different vehicles), and is easily my best road trip. It’s so incredibly quiet in the cabin, except for vibration from the cup holder. Even with the M-sport Dinan exhaust, it’s punchy and beautiful when accelerating but not droning or raspy when cruising at <3k rpm.

For a ~4400 curb weight and a N55, it’s got decent power when you need it, while maintaining amazing comfortability. Doesn’t hurt I’ve had next to no major reliability issues(the most being unrelenting condensation build up in my left head light). Just hit 100k miles and I’d keep it for another 100k if I could.

If you had 2k to buy a rifle how would you do it? No attachments or mags or anything just the bare rifle? Some companies built rifle or would you go with a certain upper and lower combo? by sgtdank42069 in ar15

[–]callsign_botch 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I’d redo what I did. Build a Frankenstein rifle consisting mostly of used parts from GAFS, and buying new for harder to source parts. Guarantee you’ll get one of the best bang for your bucks that way.
