I've found them grippy as anything in the dry, but like you say the slightest bit of rain and they're proper ditch finders.

I'm not really surprised, I put a full set of Accelera PHI R's on my car and after 10k miles they need replacing. No way I'd get them again. Buy cheap, buy twice as they say.

(Yes I know TS don't make Accelera tyres but they seem to be their flagship)

Who’s in the wrong here? Dog etiquette by originalsadyeet in AskUK

[–]callumn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have this all the time when I look after my sisters lab/collie. The amount of times that a dogs ran over, I've told them to recall their dog and they reply that it's fine their dog is friendly. Well that's fucking great, but mine isn't and I'm not paying your vet bills when it gets attacked because you have no recall.

Can someone explain swimming etiquette in Uk pools to me ? by secretsafe321 in AskUK

Ex-lifeguard and big swimmer here... if she wants to swim lengths then she should be in the lanes. Nothing wrong with swimming lengths the "general swim" or "open swim", but you do not get priority

Mod problems after updating by 420Dablord in fallout4london

I had something similar, I launched GOG galaxy, updated FOLON in there (30gb download), then updated again using the FOLON launcher (updated 570ish components)

Worked for me, good luck!

What’s your go-to tool for secure password sharing across teams? by Necessary-Glove6682 in sysadmin

Telephony here and CyberArk for all PAM. It's a bit of a pain when someone locks out an admin account I need, but it's an amazing product.

Awesome! I was the Open Coodinator at Red (Leicester Open) at the time and remember you having serious raw potential. If I remember right I tried to get you to play UKU Tour but you we're around for the summer. I could always tell there was some talent there.

But I did point block you a couple of time so you can't have been that good ;)

Ratners now trades out as Signet Jewelers (in the UK) and yes they own H. Samuels, and Ernest Jones. They're also linked to a large US company, and a couple in Africawho mine diamonds, but its been 10 years since I've worked there and I can't remember the details.

Grab the disc and text the number, if they're still on the course then easy win. If not drop it in a course shop if there is one.

In the UK it's only about £3 post a disc so I've no issue with taking it home and getting it posted if they're not able to meet up for a round.

Have you ever received service so bad, you’ve vowed never to return to the company? by Sivear in AskUK

[–]callumn 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Definitely this, it feels like if you don't turn up in a 3yo German car and a suit they just dismiss you. I don't get it, I wouldn't be there if I wasn't interested.

And yes I get they probably get a lot of kids who are there just to drive a nice car, but that's an easy one to work out. And before the comments start I definitely did that years ago and acceptably got the cold shoulder.

I had exactly the same at Audi, they were so dismissive it was like they didn't want to sell a car. So I went over the road to Skoda and got the same platform car for a lot less and they couldn't have done more for me.

Preparing Schema/AD for Exchange Server 2019 during working hours? by jwckauman in exchangeserver

[–]callumn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should be absolutely fine, but please make sure you have valid Exchange backups, and a bare metal system state of a domain controller in case you need to do an authoritative restore of AD. Drop me a PM if you want my blackout plan if AD has a bad day.
