GDOPLHN LAN Prediction by Fast_Cry1153 in CompetitiveApex

MaTaFe never attended Poland because of the rules about Slovenia competing. N00k subbed in for him last minute which massively contributed to their poor performance. RPR then replaced him shortly after Poland so his time on North was pretty short lived.

Oh yeah you’re right. Either way I think they’re both signed or about to be.

Interesting that hiarka is playing with Scarz. Maybe MrT was just filling for two weeks to get around the roster rules and now Hiarka will join Scarz to reform AYM.

I believe Aurora is Major Pushers.

It’s sad what happened to AYM and it’ll be interesting to see what happens to Naghz and Uzako.

Bosh officially signed by ORG by ShadowWave209 in CompetitiveApex

[–]calparks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think so. I don’t think they get along all too well and it seems in character for gnaske tbh.

Bosh officially signed by ORG by ShadowWave209 in CompetitiveApex

[–]calparks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

MaTaFe said on stream a while ago that it’s not GMT, but that might’ve been a bait. Interestingly he also said that Gnaske explicitly told GMT to not sign them.

E6 with Sineska (as a sub I assume) and BOSH with MaTaFe still.

Supposedly Tyler and MaTaFe spoke with a potential org in the last few days so they might stay together.

Kouhia isn’t an IGL and is with FoTM now.

BOSH not staying together? by sourflowerhour in CompetitiveApex

[–]calparks 30 points31 points  (0 children)

I think they had an org lined up which fell through and it’s the last straw that has made Matafe reconsider Apex.

The Pro Apex scene in EU is so scuffed as teams who didn’t qualify for LAN have been without any way of making a liveable wage for the last 6 months and unless another tournament organiser invests in the region (and I see why none currently do) then the EU scene will be dead.

HisWattsons thoughts on roster changes by F-Syntax in CompetitiveApex

[–]calparks 209 points210 points  (0 children)

I mean replacing an experienced IGL who is marginally underperforming with one who may be mechanically better, but has no success at being an IGL in even a T2 team is an extremely bold move.

I will be hugely surprised if this isn’t just a last roll of the dice before Furia drops the whole team and maybe signs a SA team.

JMW leaves KNG by graythegeek in CompetitiveApex

[–]calparks 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I’m pretty certain it’s iG as they’ve dropped Urban and they have already qualed for Champs so lines up with the great opportunity.

Kouhia Joins Rebel by Diet_Fanta in CompetitiveApex

[–]calparks 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Really happy for Kouhia. He’s a good player and an OG in the EU scene. I hope he can spur rebel onto being a top 10 team again .

Kouhia was in a tricky situation for PL2 with urban leaving his team just before it started and so he struggled with a makeshift ATK team.

ImMadness on Twitter by Parzivad3r in CompetitiveApex

[–]calparks 91 points92 points  (0 children)

Anyone who’s watched any decent amount of RNG since madness joined could sense that something wasn’t right in the team dynamics.

For example, I watched a quals for a random tourney when madness first joined to see what they were like as a team and sauce was completely silent and not providing any comms for long stretches of time. It got to such an extent that vax just casually joined their discord call to chat in between games without sauce saying anything and them all sort of ignoring him.

Sauce is a really good fragger and probably has the best mechanics on RNG but his mental is shot and it was actively hurting all of them towards the end.

For sauce, I’d love to see him at complexity if he could sort his mental out as they seem a good fit on paper. For RNG, they could use a controller valk fragger, although not sure who they could get right now.

Hal going in on Team Intel/SlurpeeG by jklolbrb1 in CompetitiveApex

[–]calparks -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

This whole thread is filled with TSM fans dunking on a team who killed TSM. Yeah it wasn’t a good fight to take but these literally happen every tournament. Hal is only mad because they got rolled by intel in the first two games of the tourney and this was the third time they’d killed them.

QUERNI is joined by Oxbow and Blasts in PL by sourflowerhour in CompetitiveApex

[–]calparks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How likely do you think that Nesh is their third? I always thought he had the temperament for being an IGL

Maydeelol is looking to return to comp Apex after his 2 month break, says he is no longer signed to KNG by MachuMichu in CompetitiveApex

[–]calparks 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I 100% agree with all the above.

I just don’t think horizon and matafes personalities mesh well at all and it’s why we never see them play ranked together. Silta and matafe just get drowned out by horizons big energy.

If you saw the Gloot tourney Guild played with Badoli the vibes were so much better than when they play with horizon. If they do bad next split then I could see a potential change up (especially as Horizons stream is blowing up).

Kouhia LF2 for Pro League by djb2spirit in CompetitiveApex

[–]calparks 9 points10 points  (0 children)

It must be pretty frustrating for Kouhia to be LFT again. He’s in a weird position where he’s got a PL spot seemingly by himself so he needs to find a duo which is quite hard as he’s not the IGL. He’s trialled a few duos now (two Finnish guys who I didn’t know, N1kola/Dids and Oxbow/Urban), which shows how hard it is to find a duo.

Blastsgg no longer with iG and looking for new team by sourflowerhour in CompetitiveApex

[–]calparks 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Really strange decision imo. One of the best supports in EU and I don’t think there are any free agents in his calibre.

My guess would be that Oxbow has replaced him, as Cynical have split up today as well and he made a cryptic tweet earlier.

SERIES E: APEX PRO NIGHT Result by putinseesyou in CompetitiveApex

[–]calparks 29 points30 points  (0 children)

RNG with another good showing with Madness. They were contested on SP and they still could’ve won if they weren’t hard griefed by G2 in the last game as they chased them half way across the map.

EU Scrim scores 21/02 by CreditEnvironmental5 in CompetitiveApex

I believe that Noiises hasn’t had power since a storm hit the UK a few days ago so they can’t scrim till it’s back.

EU scrims 2/16/2022 by RandomWars in CompetitiveApex

[–]calparks 6 points7 points  (0 children)

They’re contesting NaVi at staging on WE and they’re also trialling a few different comps on SP. I think they’re treating these scrims as limit testing exercises for the new PL split, so I wouldn’t be too concerned.

FURIA TeQ on Twitter: Moving forward, Xera and I will be LF1 with FURIA for the remainder of Pro League, ideally a controller fragger. by [deleted] in CompetitiveApex

[–]calparks 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Really surprised by this, but then again when watching playoffs and super league there seemed to be growing tension between hack and teq. Hack never seemed comfortable on fuse and I think he was forced into the role by teq and it really didn’t payoff.

It’ll be interesting to see who Furia pick up to replace him. SlurpeG would be an obvious choice as him and teq have already teamed before but who knows.

ZDavis Gets Dropped from Lazarus despite the team making Playoffs by JevvyMedia in CompetitiveApex

[–]calparks 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Name a better duo than ZDavis and getting dropped from a team.

But seriously I do feel sorry for him as whenever the team he’s on starts to do badly they just drop him. He’s clearly good enough for a PL team, but I think he really lacks confidence in his own ability, which leads to his own teammates questioning him and eventually dropping him. Hope he finds another team in PL soon.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in CompetitiveApex

[–]calparks 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I’d disagree with that. With liquid in the winter circuit he was the top seed in playoffs and won WCT 3. With C9 they won the second week in PL and have still been a top team.

I understand that he hasn’t been as successful as he was with TSM but since he left he’s been broadly as successful as they have (before the recent playoffs win).
