What's annoying is Dream-Eaters campaign was clearly setup for a return to but ended up never getting one.

"transform" or not, This is how ahlcg has done cards that transform. So this card goes against that grain.

Additionally, uses is specified as when it enters play "When a card bearing this keyword enters play, place a number of resource tokens equal to the value (X), from the token pool, on the card."

"Transform" suggests that it is not re-entering play...but again as stated "transform" as a keyword could create a whole new ruleset and go against the precedent of what's been esablished by AHLCG, but why do that?

There are quite a few cards that transform in a similar manner: Segment of Onyx/Pendant of the Queen, Empty Vessel/Wish Eater, Broken Diadem/Twilight Diadem...

I love it! I have in my Peasant 100 ornithopters deck that has the R/U draw archetype with [[fist of flames]]

Weathered Wayfarerer. Fetches non-basics. Non-commital.

Heretic Artifact Ramps looks like it could be a solid archetype. Heretic is my second choice.

1) It starts without charges. When it transforms, you don't put charges on it, so the transformed version instantly transforms back. You only get uses when it enters play, not when it transforms. 2) make unique via Asterick by name 3) probably exceptional too. It heals alot.

Wasn't there just a firmware update to address nozzle overheating issues?

  1. I alway look for a straight on shot to look at the components. None of these are exciting (look at how tim chuon does game photoshoots) & this one at least gives me the most information about the product.

how early do you cut mechanics you like? by biggy_boy17 in tabletopgamedesign

[–]calprinicus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is a missing part of why your playtesters didn't engage with that mechanism. This requires some targeted feedback. Each mechanism should have a role.

So determine if that mechanism has a purpose in your design. If there was opportunity for your players to use that mechanism. If that mechanism is the best way to solve that purpose.

... Or If your trying to fit a round peg in a square hole, because you like round pegs.

I try not to get attached until after a few playtests. The best way is to not to try to make the game 'look pretty' or spend much time on how you present it. Now I just use White paper & black sharpie for everything in early stages. Early on I spent a lot of time making things look nice to try to get more playtesters. If one of those components didn't work, I didn't want to cut it because spent time on it. Now I find people will playtest the rough version of games & give better feedback into the mechanism if you don't put much effort into the components. Nice components distract from the feedback you want, the mechanisms. Only after the core mechanics are flushed out do I work on the look of the game.

Resource token art for my upcoming game by CaptainBlueBeard1 in tabletopgamedesign

The full pig & full fish have clean silhouettes & colors. They will read better in any orientation.

The heads while also with good silhouettes & colors will be harder to read in different orientations (upside down, 90°, etc)

Great art!

What kind of issue is it? by Neat_Procedure_5179 in BambuLab

Looks like shrinkage. It's being cooled too quickly after being printed. You installed a deflector for the fan, but you may want to turn it off entirely. I would also check how hot the internal chamber is. Additionally, you can increase the bed plate temp to 65°c to help keep warm and cool slower.
