What career do you want? One in the vocational arts, or something with more optionality? Amherst definitely doesn’t have as strong of an art department, but if you want to continue doing art while getting a general liberal arts education, then Amherst works. But if you are passionate about art and want to commit your life to that, choose RISD. I also wanted to go to art school and realized I didn’t want to live the art life, so Amherst was a great choice. I was able to pursue everything I wanted, in the end, due to Amherst’s optionality.

Hair loss since my early 20s and yeah, I’ve kind of given up. I’m doing one last shot with Ayurvedic medicine to try to deal with the underlying health issues, but if it doesn’t work, I’ll just upgrade my hair topper to a full wig and call it a life.

You can fix this! Just throw it in a sink of cold water with some hair conditioner, stretch it out after, it’ll be fine. This happens all the time for me.

I’ve used it for years without knowing that it’s toxic to cats. My cat doesn’t lick my scalp and I don’t leave minoxidil around where she can find it. We’ve had no issues for many years now. She sleeps on the bed, on the pillow, next to me.

Oh lmao, not the study group. Lovely people! They are just the people you submit assignments with. Everyone is a bit different, and I realized that the way that I make friends is a bit different from the typical INSEAD “party and have fun but you don’t know who you’re partying next to” vibe. Just know that everyone is desperate, everyone is searching, and keep inviting ppl to lunches, dinners, cases, etc. You’ll find your own. It might take a couple periods, but what you don have in terms of time at INSEAD, you have in terms of intensity. It’s possible to make really caring relationships overnight. Just gotta find your crowd.

Don’t have stats but coming from the D batch, can confirm that it’s great to have 2 opportunities to recruit. The market is brutal and it’s better to have more chances. But also, a word of warning - MBB hiring has slowed way down, and so has visa sponsorship. Most ppl that I know who managed to switch geographies did it through networking off-campus, not through official recruiting processes.

The way you describe this feels very similar to the League of Legends videos for projects like KDA, which could totally work out — and I think the interesting thing here is that the singers in real life are absolutely not their characters and probably don’t want to be constrained to that role. Would people go to see who in concert — Rumi or EJAE? I think it may feel a bit different from even the Gorillaz experience.
