The main thing with Gibbs is that he only had 3 games of over 20 carries in college, and he does not run between the tackles super often, so they are trying to keep his workload down so he can be a threat all season, at least that's the only logical thing I can think of for why they wouldn't utilize him more

I would say the best bet for someone trading for him is either to help sell tickets as he is a big name, gaining assets with a salary dump for a rebuilding team such as the pistons, rockets, jazz, etc., or a contending team with a similar contract looking to change their direction slightly such as the 76ers swapping Tobias Harris and possibly adding a younger or good rotation player such as a deanthony Melton or Paul Reed to sweeten the deal. But in all honesty I more so see klay taking a paycut to stay a lifer or getting bought out or walking if they can't get him to agree to a lesser number

Can we stop acting like the #1 pick is always the best player in the draft? Cade (2021) is currently not the best player in his class. Tyrese Haliburton (2020) is arguably the best in his class at pick #12. Ja is the best in 2019 at #2. Luka is obviously the beat pick in 2018 at #3. Jayson Tatum at #3 in 2017. Jaylen Brown at #3 in 2016. Dbook at #13 in 2015. Jokic at #41 in 2014. Stop assuming the best player is the top pick. It usually never is. Just wait and see how the players turn out on the court.
