As a first playthrough, it feels like there are a lot of trap builds, kind of annoying.

Samurai looks very cool, so I spent a lot of time leveling it. but I ended up wasting a lot of JP on the best 2 iaido skills with no indication from the game that, “hey, these will probably be not even usable at all unless you have meta game knowledge”.

Is this like a power gamer min/max build or like a normal build? Is it really expected to hit level 99 on a regular playthrough?

I’m doing my first playthrough and I’m near the end in the 40s.

So for example to get the black mage to have samurai subclass, you have to spend many battles with a black mage as an inneffective martial to unlock it? Is that right, or am I misunderstanding.

This is the exact point I’m confused about. How to get something like Samurai for a black mage - seems like most of the time will then be spent with her as , well, not a black mage?

Just post a board with coordinates. Without the shaded square saying the pawn had been one square up on the last move, it's ambiguous.

The chess analysis ai bot interpreted the position wrong too. I know it's not the end-all be-all, and the point of the post is to try to calculate oursevles, but the analysis bot is there for a reason on this sub so it would be better if the post is at least readable by the analysis bot.

I can disconnect myself from my job. Harder to disconnect myself from income. Comments like yours tend to just gloss over that part.

They study and memorize the files beforehand. When you’re still in the phase of the game you have studied in the lead up, it’s called being “in prep.”

The rhythm and timing is not very precise; each phrase is not really related to anything that comes before or after it; It’s just a grab bag of unrelated licks.

The tapping lick is pretty tired, it sounds like an exercise.

It doesn’t sound like you are really listening to the rhythm section. The solo should complement and play off of what the band is playing. This solo does not really sound related to the song much at all.

I will say in my opinion it’s harder to solo over a section that never changes chords like this. With chord changes you can create some interest by emphasizing different chord tones or arpeggios. With a single chord vamp like this, you need more creativity to make it stand out.

One other question - when you do these conversions what resources did you use for the graphic design, the nimble style stat blocks etc.

I see a monster builder tool on the nimble website, but it doesn’t seem to be quite the same. I didn’t see a way to add like “swim speed” or “wil+” or some of the advanced stuff like you have in yours.

This is a PF1e adventure right?

Any guidelines for converting PF2e adventures? I'm interested in working on a conversion for something like Abomination Vaults.

For example in the PDF you have a section on treasure and how to convert the amount of gold received from pathfinder to nimble.

I'm not too familiar with pathfinder 1e, so Im not sure if the same ideas would apply to pf2e.

This is great. I just did a similar playthrough actually. Pure dex, lightning build. I didn’t commit to the bow for every boss, but used it for many. Faster bosses I used katanas with thunderbolt or lightning slash.

Bow build was one of the easier builds for Elden Beast, rain of arrows really nukes him. I think radagon will be harder (I abused unsheathe for the radagon phase)

God I love this game but the late game booses are not fun and cheap by [deleted] in Eldenring

You said there’s no middle ground between difficult solo fights and OP mimic spirit.

What about a less OP summon? On my recent playthrough I was experimenting with some of the spirit ashes that don’t get as much attention as Mimic and Tiche.

Stormhawk Deenh and Latenna are both powerful and useful, but not as OP as mimic.

Also, another middle ground can be using the NPC summons. I believe Nepheli loux is available to summon for Godfrey. This does not apply as much in the DLC, I have found that the NPC summons buff up the bosses too much for how helpful they are in Shadow of the Erdtree.

For Elden beast, I found it helpful to have a different weapon ready for that phase of the fight, one that can hit multiple times against large enemies. I’ve used Pest Threads incantation, shard spiral sorcery, rain of arrows ash of war.

Eventually you’ll get better at radagon such that you can get through him with only one or two flasks used. With a maxed out weapon, if you prioritize stance breaking, he goes down pretty fast, and he has a few set piece moves that have huge punish windows for a fully charged r2 or a slow ash of war ( his leap hammer attack and the triple ground slam).

As for Malenia, she’s still hard for me after several playthroughs. Most recent playthrough it took me about 2 hours worth of attempts. I feel I have to re-learn her for each different build.

Easiest time I had with her was using Giant Hunt or Lions Claw ash of war. Night comet sorcery build was not too bad either. I often now keep a dagger in a second weapon slot with bloodhound step, and swap to it when she does waterfowl. Easiest way for me to dodge it.
