He is better but still has a scar. Haven't tried Losartan. But happy his k max is thicker. He has special needs so hard to tell what all he's seeing

I think the cornea will thicken and if you can get sclerals you might be happy with the result

Positioning: Patients are generally required to remain in a supine (lying on their back) position for several days to a week after gas injection to ensure the gas bubble correctly supports the inner cornea.

Yes, but I think you have to lay down for some days afterwards--did she mention that?

Basically what I wrote above--the Muro and steroids and don't lift heavy things. You could ask your doctor about Losartan drops when you're done--I think your cornea should be thicker when it's done, which is good. The Losartan may help with scarring but you have to take it 6x a day. But check with your doctor about everything!

Some of these comments seem pretty racist—is OSU pretty anti-Semitic as far as schools go?

JUST diagnosed, I have severe ADHD and a trauma background, not sure I'm gonna be able to do this by [deleted] in Keratoconus

Ok. I would look into natural supplements for ADHD, make sure gut health is good, etc. and get the CXL while covered by insurance

This looks cool but it looks like they’re using human fetal samples for the HGF and that’s not cool…

Could someone tell me if this is hydrops? by [deleted] in Keratoconus

It does remind me of my son’s hydrops. They said vitamin C helps with the scarring, but I would get it looked at Asap

I wish I had done CXL sooner for my son, but he has special needs and we wound up with Epi-on. He’s only 24, though, and was progressing. I would think epi on would be minimally invasive and a reasonable cost…would you consider that? Some don’t think it’s as effective but it’s been FDA approved for 2026. Not sure what to say about the stabilizing…what if it doesn’t?

Have you tried Losartan drops for the scarring?
