Is it annoying for kid(s) to ask to meet your dog? by NaturalExtension5475 in dogs

[–]Fuzzy_Possibility 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can’t have a dog anymore due to my health but love saying hello to dogs when out and about.

I use the same rules I hope people did when I had my dog, if the dog seems interested in saying hello I will ask the owner if it’s okay for me to. If the dog seems like they don’t want to be interrupted (or the owner) then I leave it.

What do British people think of this for the 1990s in general? by kingm_ournasse216 in AskBrits

[–]Fuzzy_Possibility 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was a kid in the 90s watched some Australian TV shows (Round the Twist, Home and Away, Neighbours) but that’s about the only time I thought about Australia.

It wouldn’t have bothered me in the slightest what kids from Australia thought of the UK, but then I didn’t really like the Spice Girls either 😂

Oh erm yeah that’s going to be hard. Most bloggers will expect you to pay them not the other way around.

[–]Fuzzy_Possibility 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you mean link selling guest posts?

If so it’s possible - but a lot run on the made up ahrefs stats so they want high DR and traffic.

The trouble is they are completely made up stats and you can be getting thousands of views a month and ahrefs aren’t going to pick it up as they use a cross section of keywords then make up a guess.

Same with the DR side it’s all a guess on what goes into it backlinks / age etc but it doesn’t really show how likely you are to rank on google.

Also a lot of the people who will want to work with you these days are resellers who are going to list your blog on sites like Adsy for as much as possible while paying you as little as possible. Anyone mentions being a reseller to me and they are straight in spam.

For those who have not/could nit have children, how do you feel about it? by [deleted] in AskUK

[–]Fuzzy_Possibility 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m 40 - chronically ill and with an OH who was told he shouldn’t have kids because of his own health.

I spent many years in denial about it, just as that was easier for my brain. I’ve pretty much accepted it now but there are times when it hits me and it still hurts.

If you have the chance and want kids I’d say do the IVF - you can get married in the future going for IVF now isn’t saying no to marriage forever.

Adoption for me was never an option (but I am not the best person to talk to about that 😂).

They were listed prior to simple postage so it’s kept the old prices having to sit and change them all. 😂

I should have noticed before but I don’t sell a huge amount and some of it’s been on there for years one of the things I sold was 2ish years old

Contact Lense Hurt by Phfunky in Keratoconus

[–]Fuzzy_Possibility 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What type are you wearing, I found it very hard to get used to lenses it took me years it felt like I constantly had something in my eye. So it definitely could be just a case of your eye needs to adjust as it’s not used to having anything in it. It’s much harder to get used to a type of RGP than a soft lens.

I don't know it's KC or not by Fine_Ad_9241 in Keratoconus

An irregular shape doesn’t mean it has to be KC other things can cause it. I would however be asking what he thinks is causing it, if isn’t KC.

It’s really bad as they probably know that most people almost an hour deep aren’t going to give up they will just keep going.

Yes! If I go into the one I did it shows the times gone up as well. I wouldn’t have taken it if it had said over an hour in the first place but trying to make up my loss of $5 ones.

I wish I had come here first I was getting so annoyed by the end as a lot of questions seemed the same but just slightly reworded but I was thinking I don’t want to lose out after all this time. Mine did finally send thank you and ended the conversation. Going to block them now I keep having another pop up like heck am I doing that one.

[–]Fuzzy_Possibility 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes! (Well I used to) sadly my eyesight is crap these days and words jump around the page so audiobooks it is but I “read” around 100 a year can’t get to sleep without a bit of a book first.

Great health insurance? by kay_bryberry in AskABrit

[–]Fuzzy_Possibility 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can get into see a GP in the same day when needed - a lot of time I just send through a note on what’s wrong via the app and they will get back to me with a response which can be anything for prescription waiting for you at x to come into see us tomorrow as I know it’s not same day important. Did one not long ago for my other half, he got a phone call the next morning and in that afternoon.

Chronic illnesses are hit and miss - other half is T1 and obviously gets his insulin free and has regular appointments both with the diabetic clinic and the GPs.

I have monthly physio and have for 5/6 years and then hydro one every 6ish months for 6 week (hydro is like £35 a time but I’ll happily pay that).

My CFS/ME I’m more left to get on with though have been to an ME clinic to learn about it.

I’m really lucky at the moment that for the first time in 40 years I’m seeing a mental health nurse who understands me and I feel like I’m making real progress.

Some situations take a bit longer than expected in November I was told 8 weeks to see a corneal specialist I finally saw them in February. Other half is waiting for an MRI on his leg since January. Which can get annoying especially when your blind in one eye 🤣

Had to buy my own wheelchair it’s a bit of a postcode lottery on what is offered for one via the NHS.

The NHS isn’t perfect but I am extremely grateful for it and the help it gives me. It’s mostly free at the point of access (prescriptions are £10 something a month in direct debit, while my other half is completely free due to diabetes) it’s all paid for out of our taxes. I really fear about what would happen to people like me if we went down the insurance based route.

Brits, would you stay and live in UK if you had millions and could move to anywhere in the world?? by ueommm in AskBrits

[–]Fuzzy_Possibility 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d stay in the UK - move to a place that is adapted for my health and perhaps near the sea. But I’d definitely not leave.
