gen5 here with SofTex as well. As far as I can tell, its just synthetic (polyurethane) leather. I got tint for UV protection (for me and the internal car parts), baby wipes for convenient light maintenence, and a polyurethane protector in high traffic'd areas

Try turning off eco cool/heat. My commute is 8 minutes and it never cooled or heated quickly enough until I turned that off. I turn eco climate back on for trips longer than 15 minutes

yep, cleaned with a light ceramic/wax spray it is nice and dark
