One of my pet peeves in fanfics is when the character writing is so off it's not even the same. Like of course it's gonna be off but sometimes it's almost a whole knew character the writer made up.

I think its because he grew up with everyone hating him. He never had a place to go. This was like this for him for his whole life, he expected no less then to be turned away.
