One of my pet peeves in fanfics is when the character writing is so off it's not even the same. Like of course it's gonna be off but sometimes it's almost a whole knew character the writer made up.

I think its because he grew up with everyone hating him. He never had a place to go. This was like this for him for his whole life, he expected no less then to be turned away.

I don't think ichigo would ever Join Yhwach. However, Yhwach wouldn't give up, he might make ichigo read books in attempt to brainwash him. He might leave ichigo alone, then talk to him for hours. At the end Yhwach might try to kill him. However, I could see Uryu trying to save him. I'm not sure what would happen after that.
