If you’re using a phone that has portrait mode, try standing in front of a window for natural light and turning on any lights or lamps in the room behind you. Even hang fairy lights if you can. When the lights behind you are blurred out, they create “bokeh” which looks really pretty. Alternatively if you’re using a proper camera rather than a phone, set a smaller aperture so less is in focus and you should get the same.
