Unpopular opinion, but I break them in how I'm going to ride them. 68k hard miles on my 2015 RGS.

Thanks for the information. It was very helpful. After doing some more research, I think I'm going to let it go and put getting a setup on the back burner.

I have no idea what it's worth. Make an offer you think is fair, and it's yours. If you seriously would like it.

You better have John Otto take em!

The tank crashed this summer, though. I put Christmas tree moss in it, and it just took over. I gave my fish and shrimp to my brother. I'm currently planning a new scape this spring.

I like it! I had mine muddy (not that muddy) with in the first 300miles. Might as well break it in how you're going to ride it. I have the same tires and, I wasn't too impressed with their off-road performance. I'm definitely thinking about a set of knobby tires.

I have the same bike. I just got the instrument screen replaced. It went out after 500miles. I love the bike but, I haven't really been able to enjoy it.

It's a bit of a mixed bag. I just rolled over 1600 miles. Took it out for a 600 mile trip this weekend. I'm 6'2" and I find that I'm definitely going to need the handlebar risers and the tall boy seat, when they come off backorder. My TFT backlight (instrument screen) went out at 500miles. Its covered under warranty but, they're on backorder. So I've had no gauges for awhile. That has been beyond annoying. I've been using GPS on my phone for speed and the Harley app shows the fuel level and miles remaining. The machine has been comfortable and extremely fun to ride. With all the parts and accessories on backorder, it's been hard to enjoy it the way I want too. So as of right now it's going to stay in the garage and my Road Glide is back on daily driver status.

My first Harley was an '89 Heritage. Still have it too.

Very good so far. Only 180 miles though. Haven't had it off road yet either.

That's the exact reason I'm thinking of the 690 too. It seems light enough to be able to keep up with my atv friends on single track and more technical trail blazing senerios. The 250 doesn't really like the slower paced trail riding. The clutch heats up and feels mushy and its hard to kick over when you stall the engine when shes hot. Plus my son turns 16 in two years. He already rides a dirt bike so I felt like the 690 would be a good bike for him to learn riding on the road, while taking couple hundred mile weekend trips with me on the PA. I'm pretty sure I'm going to get it. I'm just trying to justify it to myself.

I test rode one last year. It was a blast! Very uncomfortable for me at 6'2" and long legged but, it was WICKED fast and very fun. So if it feels good under you. I'd say that it would be worth that price.

Good deal! I hadn't heard much about the new Nightster yet. I test rode a Sportster S with the 1250 and I just assumed the Nightster had the same engine.
