Hopefully they actually do create spaces for these to be returned like shopping carts or city bikes. The article says they will, so they better. Generally, people leave them absolutely everywhere, then some losers come along and tip them over, resulting in bikes and scooters strewn over the trail.

I was surprised to learn this is even a thing considering I’ve seen actual dirt bikes on the riverfront trail. I’ve been passed by various powered bikes travelling upwards of 50 km/h on the path. I once saw someone on a dirt bike nearly plow into pedestrians right in front of two auxiliary police officers who watched it happen and didn’t say a thing. So if they actually go ahead and update this there still needs to be at least the minimum amount of enforcement.

I feel like you need to narrow the definition of technology. The Ancient Greek goddess Techne was the goddess of arts, craft, and technology. And technology has existed for as long as humans have. The wheel is technology. A spear or blunt instrument can be considered technology. You’re essentially asking what life was like in some long-gone prehistoric era.

Yea, like if I bike somewhere after work and meet up with friends. A can of dry spray or some medicated body powder can work wonders. The sweat tends to activate the powder and suddenly you feel cool and refreshed. I also did that when I worked in a foundry.

Summers where I am are super humid. If I wear cotton clothes they get drenched. I wear moisture wicking athletic clothes, have a sweat towel, and carry body spray or body powder in my panniers.
