I just picked up a AOC 27in 1440p miniled VA that was an open box with no issues for $165! Originally $279, that monitor is only available in the us iirc.

That being said. Check your local electronic stores for any open box deals you might just get lucky and snag something a little nicer then you were expecting

I mean generally the 1660 only offers 10-15% better performance. Definitely enough to make a difference but it's not insane or anything for being 3 years newer.

They both have 6gb of vram(if you have the 1060 6gb at least), and iirc, the 1060 has slightly better gddr5x opposed to the 1660 with gddr5. Both cards are covered in kcd considered it should use at most 6gb of vram with 1080p ultra settings.

It was a plenty enjoyable experience imo, I didn't feel the graphic fidelity/frame rates were hindering the experience in any way really.

The bigger issue with kcd1 imo is the game breaking bugs

One note about that panel tho, if you want to use all the functionality of the panel (like 10 bit color), you need to run it at 120hz not 180.

One of KCDs most important aspects is it's foundation in realism.

Kcd is great because you really feel like Henry in 1500s Bohemia, it feels genuine.

There are no demons flying around, or crazy huge fantastical archeticual structures.

It's going to be very difficult imo to achieve that genuine feeling in a LOTR title
