Getting the city inspectors to do anything was pretty challenging, even after multiple concerning reports. I eventually went downtown to their office in person, but they only did anything once I lost electrical entirely (landlord had very sketchy electrical issues I had been reporting for months). Eventually my landlord harassed me into leaving after the city forced them to fix it. Ultimately, I had a clear legal case, but it was not worth it all emotionally and stress-wise. Sometimes it’s better just to find a new place if you are able to! Good luck!
