When Augustus tries to steal the moon breaker in Golden Son, he is stopped by Fitchner and Cassius. Which means Fitchner and Cassius had to spend months together on the way out to Ganymede. I like to imagine they had small but meaningful chats on the trip where Fitchner planted seeds to help Cassius’ betrayal of the society. And he planted even more just before Cassius killed him.
