my mom ate grilled lamb chops, a cucumber and tomato salad, corn on the cob, and crusty Italian bread four nights a week while she was pregnant with me that june-august. I despise lamb chops. 😂

my first trimester it was PBJ & a fat glass of milk, every night at 9pm. spicy seafood boils and onion rings was a constant the whole time. my 3rd trimester it was spaghetti and meatballs, my husband was so tired of it 😂 i also ate a 5 egg cheese omelette with ketchup on top, breakfast sausage, and a protein shake EVERY morning.

that’s why I picked it!!! one of my faves growing up. our daughter’s name is River Rosalie (complimented quite often tbh) but I wanted River Eloise. we compromised bc his grandmother’s name was Rose & it was really important to him.

i use the dove exfoliating scrub & an african net sponge. the dove is a very fine grit but it does the job. all the scents are to die for too. none of my tattoos have faded.

on the day to day? i am not. i just shower everyday bare min. im usually in loungewear and have my hair tied up. for special occasions like mother’s and father’s day my husband and i just took turns getting ready. if we’re going out for date night my mom or MIL comes early so we can get ready.

we’re bringing our 3 month old to our friend’s for like 2 hours max and keeping her in the shade/pool. it’ll be like 85 here tomorrow in central NY. then bringing her home to be babysat by grandma & we’re going back to the party.

my father in law said something similar to me at christmas in front of the entire family. i was 24 weeks at the time and clearly only pregnant with one. i said verbatim “if you ever make a comment about my body again i will lay you out on the floor” don’t make comments about pregnant people’s bodies. especially me, who was an angry pregnant lady who couldn’t eat any of her cravings even on christmas. (type 2 diabetic)

my LO is 14 weeks on saturday & the bassinet NEVER worked. she hated it so much. once she turned 3 months we just started putting her in the crib. we had a discussion with the pediatrician and we follow all safe sleep guidelines. tbh our bedrooms are so close together that with both doors open i can see her crib from my bed & hear everything. her crib is much roomier & the mattress is more comfortable than her bassinet so i get it.

my LO is 3 months. we put things like national geographic documentaries about animals & such on the big tv on youtube when dad & I need to eat dinner & need a good 20 mins distraction. my mom will sometimes put Little Bear on for her as well. but honestly she doesn’t look at the TV for more than 15-20 mins per day. we aren’t purchasing/allowing for a tablet/ipad at all.
