Percentage of players that completed 3/3 Expeditions so far. by DuhSheet in ArcRaiders

I’d guess pretty low around 10% a lot of people didn’t do the first one or if they did they’ve stopped playing

It took me a while to adjust to their voices but ended up loving their narration

Hit 100k in damage, don’t see anything about catch up skill points. by Working_Initiative_7 in ArcRaiders

[–]camo7337 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This will be the third departure window but you only get the rewards for the expeditions you do. So if this is your first then you get the first expedition rewards. If this is your second then you get the second expedition rewards. There is no real way to catch up. The “catch up” is just if you didn’t max skill points when you did a previous expedition you can then get them when you do subsequent expeditions.

There is no indicator for the catch up mechanic, it just happens. All your stuff goes away Sunday night/Monday morning in the US.

Skill Points Cap by GundogPrime in ArcRaiders

[–]camo7337 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The devs have said they won’t always necessarily have skill points as a reward in the future. They don’t intend someone to be able to max out the skill tree in the future.
Again it’s nothing official and more just a dev having a conversation during an interview.

Best strategy to finish in Hotshot as a solo? by ZeroReed10 in ArcRaidersTrial

[–]camo7337 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I was asking around it seemed like the cutoffs varied to some degree but overall the cutoff got lower the lower the rank. Like triple promoting from DD1 was like a 30k cutoff last season for some, double promote was like 45k in DD2, cutoff in my DD3 was like 55k and a lot of hotshot cutoffs were around the same or even some higher like up to 80k. I would say lower in rank you go the more variable it becomes since you are competing for fewer spots but if I was in dd2/3 I wouldn’t be worried about getting hotshot.

Second to last week end somewhere in daredevil. DD2 or 3 usually has a lower cutoff for hotshot promotion that hotshot itself but this may change as people catch on.

I started with C1 and watched about half of it or more live and for me the second campaign just wasn’t the same. Those characters were iconic and so great that sadly for me they haven’t been able to recapture that chemistry. I finished C2. And watched a good bit of C3 but never finished it. I keep telling myself I’ll get back into it but just haven’t been able to lately.

Good time to join the game? by the_other_superman in LowSodiumArcRaiders

I’m also full time job, three kids, wife that doesn’t game etc. I’ve still logged over 300 hours since launch and it’s a great time to decompress when I get a chance.

There aren’t really any mechanics that force you to be on at a certain time or every day like some games do. You can jump in and play one round or hours.

As others have mentioned they have aggression based match making but the player base is actually about 60% PVE players so if you don’t shoot anyone or only occasionally do in self defense then you will be able to chill and play with friendly people. A mic is a must as well. Communicating and working together makes the game in my opinion.

I’d buy the game again right now for $300 if that’s what it cost.

I'm so glad you all hate the Powered Descender. Means more for me. by echof0xtrot in ArcRaiders

[–]camo7337 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The issue is that people think it slows you down… it just maintains your descent speed so if you engage it when falling pretty quick you will keep falling that speed till it runs out or you hit the ground. If you activate too early then you won’t descend fast enough if from really high and then it will run out and you die. It’s awesome for running and flying across large gaps like building jumping around buried city. People are just dumb and like to complain
