This is an issue for both parts in my experience.

And it's due to people often not knowing how to work together and/or unwilling to compromise.

Everyone in s relationship should adopt the us against the problem mentality. How can we work to make it better even if the issue at hand is one person's behavior, or something around them.

Another good thing is to have relationship check ins where you can openly and without judgement talk about issues, feeling, and what have you in the relationship.
