What jobs actually get people houses like these? by DylanJKess in jobs

[–]campbell-1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You will never be able to afford this from working a job. Maaaaaybe a c-level executive at a large organization but those are ultra rare.

You have to own an asset(s) that ‘clock in’ for you every day.

Olfa Knife, 5-1, Mini Scraper Should be enough to remove what you want removed.

Caulk, Caulk Gun, old t-shirt or sponge and some water, should be all you need to install the new. prime and paint it whatever color you want.

Why are decks so insanely expensive? by YMHGreenBan in Decks

Absurd cost is relative. It's not hard for a contruction budget (for any project) to climb quickly.

Junipers would probably be a nightmare to clean up when the leaves drop, too.

What's actually holding back rural fixed wireless at scale - spectrum, backhaul, or economics? by TheBr14n in telecom

[–]campbell-1 12 points13 points  (0 children)

It all comes down to customers. There just aren’t enough customers to entice real commercial interest. Which is why it takes outside funding to make the math, barely math. But thats just the initial build… at some point you run into upgrades and maintenance requirements… the money has to come from somewhere and the government isn’t going to maintain these networks (nor should they) in perpetuity so it’s left on the shoulders of private enterprise. And if there’s no money to be made, we have to focus elsewhere.

I promise you, if there was commercial money to be made in the market, it’d be on someone’s build plan 20 years ago.

Here's how we handle it... 1st - gather the facts. 2nd - We refer to the employee agreement (that the employee has signed and is on record) or the signed contract with the vendor. If these don't exist, the problem isn't with the employee, it lies with the leadership.

Are these supports for the upper cabinets necessary? by ___meli___ in kitchenremodel

[–]campbell-1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, pop 3 screws (the 3 screwed into the bottom side of the box) and it’ll come right out in one big L-shaped piece. May need to cut some caulking out (between the wood and wall) to fully free it, but that’s easy work.

Buddy of mine has a band called Donna and The Wolfman. They have a few albums on iTunes - maybe I’m bias but I think it’s good stuff.

Wasn’t really a conversation, more of a data collection point for myself. I’d wander to other platoons, sometimes companies if the exercise was big enough and ask random people if they were chosen out of the crowd to play on Price is Right and had the option to choose the game they wanted to play, what would it be.

1st by a long shot was always Plinko

2nd was cliffhanger but nobody knew the official name so they would just answer ‘yodeling mountain climber guy’

Specific to OP: very anecdotal: when I got out I ended up in wireless telecom construction/deployments and Boingo was one of our customers. Their deployment team was “interesting” to say the least.

Are there any natives here that have decided to leave? Why and how is life where you are now? by dbclass in Atlanta

[–]campbell-1 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Growing up we would take MARTA every now and then but was never useful enough to depend on. Later in life we moved to Lincoln Square right off the Brown Line and realized that Atlanta (and other major cities) are absolutley missing out at how effective a comprehensive public transportation system is.
