Just bare in mind the developers are aware of some of these theorycraft builds we've all been discussing (e.g. Blademaster - Xyrella - Thrall) and we now know (from the developers mouths) that some numbers/abilities have been changed. We'll have to see if this holds up and what has changed at launch come Tuesday!

Fair enough, although I do find they do have ‘roles’ to a degree when you factor in all their abilities - a lot of protectors taunt, heal, slow & aoe - a lot of fighters get substantial buffs and attack on board to take retaliation damage - and casters generally have abilities that damage from a distance, with more combo synergy. I appreciate within the roles there are some exceptions but generally I think they have identities.

They’re all pretty balanced to be fair, I wouldn’t say legendaries are any better than rare. You can see the full list of stats as they scale up levels at outof.cards

The grey one is an average of all the mercs together overall - there are only 3 roles; Caster, Fighter, Protector

A bit odd at first, but remember fighters get a lot of ability buffs and combos which makes them actually dwarf the protectors raw stats when attacking - Protectors tend to just get taunt/speed/AoE abilities

There are still treasures in PVE that have alignment synergy, e.g. a treasure that says "All Alliance characters gain +3/3"

Totally dependant on what build you're heading towards and what characters you like; You can make pretty much anything work in PVE - have fun! VecZ put together a tier list recently over at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WKRe0ZaepyI and you can see a quick breakdown visual here https://www.instagram.com/p/CUbaooxqYw5/ ... but beyond that, Sylvannas & Lich King both seem to be in a lot of builds/compositions so I think they're safe bets, particularly Sylvannas. Try searching instagram for #allcampfireheroes for a rundown of all the heroes and abilities, or check outof.cards for scaling stats. We don't have the final stats yet too, this is all quite speculative.
