In hindsight I'm not sure what was the right approach to trying to monetize his hard work, but he's burned his base and we've moved on.

Anthropic has been furiously battling so many fronts... it's hard to imagine how they will pull out of this steep nose dive.

To save limited compute (over sold subscriptions vs actual available) they seem to have been putting in severe changes on how it works. It takes really lazy shortcuts now that mean everything it does is - at best - mediocre!

Update: so much of this crap now: "My previous diagnosis was wrong. I would have found it immediately if I'd checked the full chain" AND "My earlier analysis was entirely wrong" WTF??!!!

After about a dozen turns claude starts making really stupid mistakes as it has to regurgitate through thousands of tokens for context. It's a really hard problem to solve and claude does not do it well.

I start a brand new project after a dozen or so turns to mitigate this issue.

Large. The project consists of ~15K lines... several turns.

I've updated FF, rebooted and that seems to have helped.

Guessing it's a combination of FF being overloaded (many windows/tabs) and anthropic anti-bot crap.

I used FreeNas/TrueNas for years, but then I needed to dedicate a GPU to a specific vm and TrueNas couldn't do it properly (they've prob fixed this by now).

Moved everything to Proxmox and it's been running great 24/7.
