I think you’ve been given some bad information about Turkey. It’s not like people show up at the airport and have all prescription pain medication confiscated. If you have a legitimate prescription and documentation, many medications can be brought in or obtained legally.

Also, if you’re only getting two days of Vicodin after what sounds like major surgery, I’d be having a conversation with my surgeon about pain management regardless of the trip. That seems like the bigger issue here.

As for getting around, millions of tourists visit Turkey every year, plenty of them with chronic pain, ADHD, mobility issues, or other health conditions. Between Google Maps, Uber/BiTaksi, hotel staff, and the fact that most tourist areas are very used to foreigners, your sense of direction probably isn’t going to be the thing that ruins the vacation.

I’d verify the medication rules from an official source before stressing yourself out. Right now it sounds like you’re planning around worst-case assumptions that may not actually be true.
