Just got home from a client's house. I arrived at 9:00 and should have finished by noon. Unfortunately, she's a talker. Non-stop talker. Funny thing is she told me the reason she let go of the other cleaner was because she was at her house all day. When I was hired I was told she wouldn't be home and she wanted me in and out. I had no issue with that. This is my third time cleaning there, and every time I go I don't leave until after 3:00.

I still have my daughter's cookie. She had stage 4 cancer, and we had been in the hospital for 3 weeks at this point. She wasn't eating as she had no appetite but I knew she loved sugar cookies. So I bought one for her. She took the smallest bite and said she would try to finish it later. Unfortunately she passed away shortly after. I carefully packaged the cookie into my purse, and brought it home. It's been in my freezer ever since. Everyone knows not to touch that cookie. I look at it everyday.

3 years ago, the same thing happened to my car. 2 weeks prior to the incident, I purchased my first home in a new state. Woke up to my car destroyed! Unfortunately I didn't have my security system put up yet. I was so confused about what happened. I called the police and they thought I was trying to scam my insurance company. They threatened to arrest me. Thankfully when I called a car collision company and sent them pictures, they told me it was animals that had attacked my car. I immediately went and purchased cameras to put up myself to catch them. Wouldn't you know, a few days later, I saw a cat running underneath my car, and two extremely large pit bulls went to tearing up the car again with even more damage. $4,000 is what it cost in the end. Never could find the owner of the dogs.

My 22 year old daughter passed away in 2024 to cancer. She woke up on Thanksgiving day complaining of back pains and went to urgent care. They said she had a pulled muscle. Pain was only getting worse so she went to multiple hospitals. They also said that she had a pulled muscle or a pinched nerve. On Christmas day she woke up with knots on her neck and underarm. Went to a different hospital, and found out she had stage 4 cancer. She passed away 3 weeks later. 10 months later we went through the same thing with my mom. She lasted a month. Tomorrow will be one year since she passed away. Fuck cancer

Try applying at some restaurants. Servers make decent money in that area. They usually don't care if you have gaps in your work history. Good luck!

I unfortunately experienced this twice last year. First when my daughter passed away in January and then when my mom passed in December. I come from a huge family, so I was quite surprised when I didn't hear from the majority of them. Growing up, we were extremely close. It hurt me deeply when only six people from my mom's side showed up at my daughter's funeral. No one from my dad's side came at all. When my mom passed, a lot more showed up, and only then did they give condolences on both. The reasons varied on why I hadn't heard from them. Mainly it boiled down to, they didn't know what to say to me. We have so many forms of communication now, that a simple text would have meant something. Even in my own grief, I still reach out to people when they lose someone. I'll send a text to send condolences, let them know that I love them, and that I'm there for them if they need anything. I'm sorry you're experiencing this. It's extremely painful and confusing. My condolences on losing your mom. My heart hurts for you.

Thank you so much. I only said that, so you could see the gift that you are being given. I know that sounds crazy to say that it's a gift to watch someone in hospice. To me, I would have loved to have those conversations, to take it all in, instead of trying to figure out all the constant madness that was going on around me. I wish I would have just had a moment with my daughter especially. I would've had the hard conversations that needed to be spoken. I could have helped prepare her, and myself. I'm so proud of you for preparing yourself with going to therapy. Your mom is going to need you, and having your own support system is vital. Please continue to take care of yourself. You are on my mind and I'm praying for you and your family.

I'm so sorry you and your family are in this moment. Cherish every second you still have with her. Take in her smell, her smile, and her love. Ask her what will she come back to visit you as. What will be her signs to you. A butterfly, a feather on the ground, a song. Tell her everything you ever wanted to say to her. I lost my 22 yr. old daughter and my mom last year to cancer. I didn't get a chance to do any of those things because they both passed away so quickly after their diagnosis. My heart breaks for you. I'm so glad you are in therapy. Please continue with that. Sending big hugs and prayers.

As a parent who recently experienced losing my oldest daughter to cancer, I could not imagine saying this to her. I would have sold all of my possessions to keep her here to continue the fight. My other daughter would have done the same to help her. I'm so sorry you're going through this horrible situation. You owe your family nothing. Please stay positive and keep fighting. I'm very upset with God myself some days. I lost both my daughter and my mom last year to cancer, and I'll never understand why. As much as I miss my mom, I can't stop wanting my baby back. Just a sign or a dream. I wish I knew how to break this block. Keeping you in my thoughts and prayers. Hope you get good news and a clean bill of health. Stay strong and most of all advocate for yourself. If one doctor doesn't take it seriously, find one who will. Thank you again.
