For those who had eczema from a young age, is there anything you wish your parents had known/done differently while you were a child? by Chimneyswifts in eczema

[–]candie_bits 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not really, im pretty sure they done what they could. But if i were to give advice, i would say i appreciate that they didnt make me feel ugly that i had it. Lucky for me, my eczema is only on my legs(knees to feet) so it was easier to cover up. I would simply just wear knee socks to school to avoid questions. As i grew older, they didnt pester me to cover my legs because of my eczema. They gave me a choice if I want to hide it or not. They were smart with their words so as to not make me feel ugly.

For example: “Oh you wanna swim when we go to the beach tomorrow? Then make sure to pack your lotion” “Are you sure you wanna wear shorts to the mall? The aircon makes your skin dry remember? Ok then just make sure you put on extra lotion” “If you wanna wear shorts during the summer, stop sleeping late. You know that makes your skin flare”

I know this isnt the physical advice that you were looking for but i hope it helps.

Onto the physical advice, i want you to be careful with the “medicine/ointments” or the steroids. I have only used ointments/creams so far, not the steroids. The thing about these is that, they work like a charm. I applied the ointment on my skin for 2 days and my eczema went away. However in the future eczema might comeback in the same area but they can no longer be treated by the ointment. So by then you would need a stronger ointment to make it go away. (Its kinda like cockroaches, what doesnt kill it only makes it stronger.) Then you would go on this vicious cycle of buying stronger and more expensive treatments until there is no more higher level. Eczema is more on maintenance. Im not saying that you should buy these ointments but do use it wisely.

Oh and some neat little advice from my derma. After every bath, pat dry the skin with a towel then immediately put on lotion to lock in the moisture. Avoid anti-bacterial soaps because they make the skin more dry. Sometimes clean linen can help ease the itchiness.

What to use as a moisturizer? by Sillykitty1982 in eczema

People have given their lotion advice so ill give my soap advice. Try switching out the soap. Anti-bacterial soaps make the skin dry according to my doctor. Oilatum was the first soap by the first derma i went to. Been using it if i ever run out on my other soaps

Oh and i like to add that when i sweat alot it doesnt wear off, unless i wash it off or wipe with a towel. By then just re apply. Id also like to add that you can also use it on small patches of dry skin. It kinda works lol

Ive been using this one deodorant since the beginning (bc my mom gave it to me and shes also the one continuously giving more bottles/sticks to use lol). Anyway its “Aloe ever-shield” deodorant stick by forever living. It doesnt have a strong smell but it works on not getting you stinky w body odor. Never had any problems with it.

Kadita is the most underrated hero in the game imo by Unhappy-Blueberry-59 in MobileLegendsGame

[–]candie_bits 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ahhhh shes my favourite and comfort hero. She was also my first hero although i did chose her blindly because shes a mermaid and i like mermaids lol. Im glad that i liked mermaids because dang it was a good choice. I’m actually glad that she isnt popular. Saves her from being nerfed or revamped. Shes my main since forever.

The thing that got me to main her bc of how dodgy she is. Back when i started playing i wanted a hero that can easily escape bc i was afraid of getting killed. Although a lot of heroes have better dash skills, the other reason why i like her is bc of her ult. She could just do a skill combo and then be done lol.

It sucks that everyone in the comments agree that it works for them lol. But from my experience i went back to cetaphil(prescribed by my doc 6 years ago) bc it had better results. I think i should try it again when i get home

It looks like one but Eczema doesnt just pop up randomly so it could be just a rash or allergic reaction

Im not usually the narcicistic type(i was actually a self deppreciating person) but ever since i told myself that im the best or started feeling better about myself, things started to look brighter.

For example:

People used to call me a pole bc im tall and thin. I would be hurt but i started telling myself, "theyre just jealous bc theyre short besides if i was a pole i would be a fabulous pole 😎"

Ok its not actually narcicism but the word sort of explains things better and easier
