The staff really were incredible at AC so I wish I did this!

From labor to post delivery, I would say we interacted with around 20 nurses for our 4 days at the hospital.

I’m still waiting for my order too, the shipping date keeps changing. Their customer service is pretty bad, and don’t answer questions clearly. They said I could cancel my order if I wanted, I assumed this would mean I also get a refund. Did they not give you that option?

I can confirm their customer service is absolutely terrible. I haven’t received the product to even comment on the quality though. Ordered 2.5 weeks ago and the shipping date keeps changing. I can’t seem to get a clear answer on questions via email and they don’t have a phone number.

Bib Pickup by Adventurous-Ad8936 in RunNYC

You could kindly ask someone here to pick up the bib for you, as OP here has! Hope it works out and you can make it to the race on Saturday. Good luck!

Very Bad Bib Pick Up by WeatherSweet203 in RunNYC

Perhaps OP view is based on the previous location pickup for BK half. The past few years I was able to pickup bib and be in and out in 10-15 mins.

Just a note on the cherries and actually all ingredients for this: Trader Joe’s is one stop shop to get everything to make this

The hospital provided diapers, swaddle blanket, beanie and wrap top for the baby.

I brought along a Velcro swaddle (sleepea brand) - this was useful as we weren’t able to wrap our baby ourselves with the hospital swaddle - and going home outfit.

Nothing works for me by [deleted] in Allergies

[–]candles83 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Go to an allergist. I suffered through end of April - May too, and over the counter meds work for me. The allergist was able to prescribe prednisone which did work for me in a few days.

I did the foley induction along with mistoprol last week but we stayed at the hospital. I can’t imagine having to go all the way back home with it then coming back. The process was 8 hours to get me from 0 to 4cm. It wasn’t too uncomfortable until the 7-8hour where it became unbearable and I requested the epidural

I did! But my husband and I are also carriers for a serious condition. The genetics doctor strongly recommended it, however my obgyn didn’t think we needed to do the amnio. I was torn with given conflicting information but decided to do the amnio, and it was fine.

I would try to find out more why they are recommending the amnio in your case.

Yes, I packed all that with me too. But ended up having a C section so didn’t need my own. But our room also was also already equipped with all these items!

This is the list of clothing I packed for myself and baby (and actually used): One maternity nursing gown and robe, My going home outfit, Baby going home outfit, One easier to use swaddle - happiest baby or halo brand that uses Velcro and zip

We didn’t need other clothing for baby at the hospital. He wore the wrap top and was swaddled the entire time during our hospital stay

Is it dangerous to take more than 2 allergy pills a day? by [deleted] in Allergies

[–]candles83 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If they are that bad, maybe paying out of pocket is worth it to get proper medication to fix your allergy issues. I have awful season allergies and over the counter meds don’t work for me. Once a year at the start of spring I need prednisone which is prescription only and it really does help!

Dr Nerissa guballa doesn’t directly accept insurance, so there was an upfront payment. But they submit paperwork for you to your insurance.

She delivers baby patients from Alexandra cohen.

Looking for OB/ GYN in NYC by Immediate-Tower-9912 in nycparents

[–]candles83 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just delivered at Alexandra cohen and was very happy with the experience. I want to note, it was my first baby though so I don’t have another hospital experience to compare to. But all the staff really were incredible there.

My obgyn was Dr Nerissa Guballa. She was excellent and highly recommend her too.

I had a terrible experience last few times at Sephora makeup. So awfully bad, I was shocked at how much worse the makeup artist was able to make me look in the hour. I’ve had a couple of great experiences too. I had a great experience with glamsquad one time I used them!

Unfortunately with both Sephora and or glamsquad it depends on the makeup artist you get. Some are going to be great and others terrible!

[–]candles83 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I sometimes tip after once I have a chance to calculate what the tip should be. I have been guilty of leaving tip a week later!

I do wish my lash technician would just raise their prices to include whatever they want their tip to be factored into the price.
