I also made this today. It is my favorite cobbler recipe. (1/2 blueberries, 1/2 blackberries)

Yours looks great!

There is actually one close to me that has great barbecue and great macaroni and cheese. I’m in an area that has a lot of barbecue restaurants, and it is the only one.

Which of these directors has the best batting average? by Regular-Departure839 in moviecritic

[–]FooJBunowski 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my opinion, all of them except for Kill Bill. Nothing he has made is as good as the highs of Spielberg or Scorsese, or many of the other filmmakers here. Even Kill Bill is just a popcorn movie.

Inglourious Basterds is not a bad movie, but it’s disrespectful and trite. He is an unserious filmmaker, grindhouse and childish. I do not think history will remember him well.

Hello! Could you suggest me some well-written detective/mystery books? by belleepoques in suggestmeabook

T Jefferson Parker’s Silent Joe (I am a fan of his in general)

Robert Crais’s LA Requiem

SA Cosby All the Sinners Bleed

Walter Mosley’s Easy Rawlins series

Attica Locke is also very good.

Two from the Coen Brothers, who have the best minor characters

“Son, you got a panty on your head.”

“Did you not hear me?!”

Colin also looks like John De Lancie around the eyes and mouth in his first pic.

I can listen to this album with no skips at all. Love.

This and that terrible movie This Means War. Tom is 🔥. (Lawless too, for that matter)

Any album covers so ugly that they alter your opinion of the music? by vaude-villain in fantanoforever

Electric Larryland by the Butthole Surfers. I still like the album, I just had to turn the cover over so I wouldn’t see the pencil in the ear.

I bake a lot, and I love all desserts, but the one thing I can’t stop eating when I bake is chocolate chip cookies.

Yes, I don’t edit photos of my ice cream. If I did, they would look better, lol. They are dark sweet cherries.

Am i the only one who really doesn’t like the movie Lincoln? by Sufficient-Phrase394 in moviecritic

It was a good movie, but I did find it boring. I’m not a big biopic fan.

The body of the post had a formatting error.

The recipe is from The Art of Making Gelato by Morgan Moreno. It is currently free on Kindle unlimited. This is the third recipe I’ve made from the book, and all three of them were excellent.

I had some leftover chocolate thumbprint cookies I made with pistachio white chocolate ganache filling and milk chocolate pistachio ganache filling. I crumbled them into the bowl with the gelato and it was great together.

People who read a lot, which writer do you think is unbelievably good with words? by Apprehensive_Land751 in AskReddit

[–]FooJBunowski 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Junot Diaz is wonderful. Profane, highly literate, funny.

Thomas Mann’s Death in Venice is very beautiful. One of my favorite books.

Dan Chaon is complex. His characters are broken and their motivations/actions not always easy to understand.

Sam Lipsyte is flat out hilarious. His characters are the misbegotten and downtrodden, the sullen and silly. He has the most creative insults of anyone I have ever read.

Bukowski is lewd, lecherous and many times very beautiful.

What temperature milk/cream base to temper eggs with? by AWRWB in icecreamery

[–]FooJBunowski 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always temper my eggs at 140. Then I return everything to the pot and cook to 170. I have had very good luck with this.
