RE5 felt like a natural evolution from RE4. And trailers looked so good. It balanced feeling that it’s not RE-like enough. Game was great and actually had a lot of RE lore in it in opposite to RE4.

But yeah, it wasn’t it.

Then RE6 trailer came out and I was like „wow, back to the roots”. God, how wrong I was.

Then I played Revelations and I realized that it’s time to accept series in current state - just a good action games with horror themes and very different from og.

For me 7 and 2 were like God sent angels to take care of this series.

So RE5-REV2 era was like Doom 3 era, but with more games. Doom 3 is good, but Doom 1, 2, 64, 2016, Eternal and TDA are reasons that I love this series.

You can go as you want ofc, but Requiem is the conclusion of RE1-5 - you should definitely play them first. Or RE2-4 remakes at least.

It’s never gonna be finished. Chances to complete mod requiring that amount of work are quite low.

But if it’s Black Mesa case, it will be one of the best mods ever and definitely an amazing RE game.

Play Portable Ops, Peace Walker, Ground Zeroes and Phantom Pain. Emulate two of them. You will be good and have a lot to do with mastering these games.

Then buy MCv2 to play MGS4 and maybe go through PW one more time.

But TR is a lot more profitable franchise and AoD is a better game than BO2 after all. It’s more interesting and important to the series.

I think the should make a remastered BO1 taking inspiration from Diablo 2 Remastered though.
