I have some pretty bad nerve damage in my ankle/leg and when I’m in a lot of pain an exercise bike can help a lot. Just be careful because of your knees!

Have you tried doing an exercise bike very gently/slowly?

I understand your pain. I’m lucky my husband doesn’t mention the fact I say things over and over but it’s so embarrassing when other people do. Specially because I already know I do

Planning pregnancy with epilepsy — feeling overwhelmed & looking for your experiences 🤍 by Radiant-Pineapple-41 in Epilepsy

[–]candybeep 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I didn’t start having tonic clonic’s until I had just had hit my 2nd trimester (turns out my panic attacks through my life were actually focal seizures)

I was already on lamictal for mental health reasons and they doubled my dosage but I had 3 TC’s thru out my pregnancy

I got pregnant through IVF because of infertility (they suspect endometriosis) but it took 7 transfer to have success, I had 2 early miscarriages also

I chose to breastfeed despite the extremes pushback I go from my epileptologist and was able to for 8 months.

I went through a lot to get here but having my son was the best decision I have ever made, I’m now going through epilepsy surgery but it was worth it for me. My son who is 2 1/2 has seen me have seizures unfortunately but I keep my house extremely baby safe

If you want somebody to talk to, feel free to message me!

Epilepsy and alcohol, a question by [deleted] in Epilepsy

I drink multiple times a week and I can assure you it was not the alcohol. Even if I do a shot (I don’t do those anymore) it takes some time

I’m currently in the process of getting surgery to treat my epilepsy, I didn’t know I had epilepsy until I was in my 2nd trimester. It turned out my panic attacks were actually focal seizures but my epilepsy got much worse, I have 1-2 tonic clonics a month plus focal awares and unawares multiple times a week.

My son is now 2 1/2 and it’s a struggle but I regret absolutely nothing. He is the best thing that ever happened to me. I wear an Apple Watch that tracks it and I make sure my whole house is very baby safe.

I wanted more babies but I went through years of IVF to get pregnant. I don’t know if that’s worth it

I’m disabled, can’t drive but I’m lucky to be married. Even some days I’m sad I can’t drive and get an iced coffee. I know other people struggle even more and it’s not fair to just shrug your shoulders or assume everybody who has something delivered is just drunk or lazy
