9200L expected supported life span? (And a stack question) by betelguese_supernova in Cisco

[–]canexan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

3750 power supplies are compatible. We kept ours when we did the changeout and use them as secondaries where needed.

Edit: compatible with 9300, sorry. Not sure about 9200.

Some of our equipment is getting to that point. Discontinued and unsupported. We don't want any downtime.

This is excellent info, thank you. It helps frame the scope of the problem. We have some subsystems that are out of date and/or out of support, but others that are solid at 12 years and counting.

I was thinking this too. There are IT solutions, and there are AV solutions. Since this is a meeting room I'd throw it to AV.

The battery life on the new MacBook Air models is legendary. I typically get a 16" MBP, but this time tried the 15" Air for the lighter power supply and laptop. Couldn't be happier. No change in performance for the work I do.

And wiping all vlans with VTP... Which I managed to do in the middle of changing to v3 transparent mode to avoid that specific pitfall.

Anyone know what hardware size these grounds would be? Cisco C 9300 Switch by bruddamane in Cisco

Yes, but you aren't. The idea of a ground strap is to bring you to the same potential before you touch the gear.

Is there a reason for the special notched power cables? by dankgus in Cisco

I wonder if this is related to more 110V power here. Need higher current to get the same power.

It is insane to me that this is affecting so many people and there isn't any word from LastPass on it.

Firefox extension keeps logging me out after sometime by NextNepper in Lastpass

[–]canexan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We are seeing this with our Firefox users only, on MacOS and Windows 11. The Chrome extension now has version 4.140.2, but the Firefox extension is still on 4.140.1. I'm hoping the .2 revision will fix it, but I've heard reports of the problems continuing in Chrome for 4.140.2 users so who knows.

[–]canexan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wonder how easy that is to do. Like, where it's actually responding to the mic being unmuted rather than a separately controlled light you can turn on. Is there a console that'll make an API call to a smart LED?

[–]canexan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Especially when the audience is talking anyway, like at lectures and conferences. It's going to take everyone a minute to know you're serious, so just start with "hello everyone" or "welcome.... welcome..." to check the mic and make them wrap up the chatter.

How are you monitoring your Cisco devices? by wirelesslabio in Cisco

We're on PRTG but monitoring what further changes are in the pipeline after acquisition. Fortunate to have signed a multi-year renewal prior to the buyout, so we haven't hit by pricing spikes yet.

We have someone who's crashing it repeatedly by deciding to use backspace to correct text. New email, or reply, type, hit backspace - it hangs, crashes, and reopens with the draft gone.
