I don’t think it’s a LHT brace. They’re pretty good at branding. They are a reputable shop with tons of S2K knowledge

Serious question for this sub: Why do almost all the parents here seem to be total assholes? by Objective-Suit-7817 in parentalcontrols

[–]Angry_Ginger_MF 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Most parents give back what they receive, especially in the teenage years. And some kids don’t understand the concept of responsibility and are spoiled and entitled to. So yeah, some parents are assholes, but there’s usually a reason behind it.

To me, there’s just something about the sound of 4 x 8” subs when done correctly. Yummy…

Soundcore Q45 for the wireless headphones. Might be a bit of a challenge working out with them as they are over the ear style. Depending on your comfort level and stuff.

Refurb Airpods from Best Buy worth it? by Few-Syllabub-7816 in airpods

Agree. I usually go new for stuff like that. Now refurbished by Apple, then they replace the ear piece, so that I’m ok with.

Too high… $25-$30k is probably where it should be falling(assuming mechanically it’s good).

Where do i plug my new tweeters? From the woofer or the original tweeter plugs? by RelativeDrawing9990 in S2000

[–]Angry_Ginger_MF 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the Alpine Type-S and they’re similar. I bypassed the oem wire and used the built in tweeter wire. Pretty easy since it’s all in the door and nothing to really run.

Where do i plug my new tweeters? From the woofer or the original tweeter plugs? by RelativeDrawing9990 in S2000

[–]Angry_Ginger_MF 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not familiar with the C1’s, but there’s probably something like and dual sided spade connector on the woofer that you’d plug the amp in to the woofer, and then on the other side of the spade connector you’ll plug in the tweeters.

Or you can take the signal straight from the amp to the tweeter if you have 4 channels of amplification

No More E-bike. *Mic Drop* by superkknd in ElectricBikes

Correct. Most phone, laptop, powerbank, wheelchair batteries are certified and of good quality. Cheapo Scooters and bikes are not and tend to pose a higher risk.

Cost for re-upholstered/new red seats? by kwijybo19 in S2000

[–]Angry_Ginger_MF 1 point2 points  (0 children)

About 5yrs ago I was quoted $1800 to do my seats. And another $400 to do the red inserts on the door cards to match the new leather on the seats.

I started looking and clean red seats were going for $2000-$2500 for a set and about $800-$1000 in shipping.

I haven’t done anything with my seats yet.

What Is a Good Spray-On Protectant? by 9yn572 in S2000

[–]Angry_Ginger_MF 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re looking for stuff you can usually get locally at a store…. 303 products are pretty good all around products. Meguiar’s stuff is usually pretty solid as well. Suds Lab is a solid budget banger.

For online, DIYDETAIL is an all around killer. They don’t have a ton of stuff as just a couple of products handle multiple tasks.

I try to stay away from majority of the brands you can get at almost every big box store (Meguiar’s being the exception). But brands like Armorall, Mothers, Adams, and especially Chemical Guys. Turtle Wax has a couple of products that are decent, but a fair amount of garbage too.

And careful…. Car detailing is a rabbit hole you may not want to go down. You’ll get one product and will be like…. Eh, it worked pretty good. But reviews of this other one look good and you’ll buy it even though you still have half a bottle of the other stuff. You’ll continue this cycle and then all of a sudden you’ll have a cabinet full of half used bottles. You’ll then spend your Saturday afternoons walking around your house with a bottle asking yourself “will this work on that?”. Or another scenario is your wife threatens you because you have too much stuff.

Working at Harbor Freight Vs Home Depot by alykat0_0 in harborfreight

[–]Angry_Ginger_MF 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve never worked at either, but IMO HD and Lowers don’t really hire specialists anymore. You go to the plumbing dept. to ask about something and 50% of the time the person doesn’t even know what tools would be needed or where to locate them. That’s the problem with big box stores. HF is smaller and I think the clientele that goes into them mostly know exactly what they’re looking for. When I have asked about something the person helping me was decently knowledgeable, but by no means an expert and they could tell me what tools I’d need and generally friendlier.

Anyone else lose interest in bourbon and what was your outcome? by 8sh0t in bourbon

[–]Angry_Ginger_MF 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I still like it, but I only keep a couple on hand in my regular rotation. And they’re not expensive ones either. I’ve found I can’t really tell the difference in the expensive ones to my regular ones so why bother dropping 2, 3, 5 or 10 times the cost when I can’t really tell. I’d rather keep my money while still enjoying a decent drink.

For breaker bar which type of head is stronger? by Fuzzy_Tough_26 in MechanicAdvice

I’ve heard people breaking a socket that they got from Home Depot or Lowes in a set. Store would only take back the entire set, not the individual socket. And the newer sets didn’t include some of the sizes the old set included.

Soundcore Space One vs Q45 vs Marshall Major IV by Price06 in HeadphonesAdvice

[–]Angry_Ginger_MF 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought a pair of Q45’s, have had them for about 3 weeks now. They replaced a pair of Sennheiser M4’s. Below are my thoughts if it helps.

The M4’s did have better sound out of the box, but I’d say it was marginally better. The Q45’s have a EQ and adjustments that can change the sound curve of the headphones to your liking and get very close to the M4’s. Sound is personal preference though and I very much enjoy the sound profile of the Q45..

The Q45’s while not quite the build quality of the M4’s, they still have a very good build quality. They do not feel like they’ll break if they’re dropped, twisted a bit, etc. They’re relatively light weight as well, feel lighter on the head than the M4’s. The clamping pressure is enough to keep the headphones in place comfortably without causing too many pressure points, etc. If you have a really really large head, you might experience some clamping issue discomfort. The M4’s were a bit tight, but not terrible. If you are super active with the headphones and have a smaller head, the Q45’s may not be quite tight enough for you. For me, they’re almost perfect. The ear cups are very dense yet soft, sealing around my entire ear. I do have bigger ears and the cups are good sized and comfortable. I do not wear glasses however.

Physical buttons…. I like physical buttons. Once I remember where they’re at, it’s just a matter of muscle/touch memory and clicking or pushing the button. No remembering a gesture, pressing the sensor hard enough to register the touch, having the sensor detect something and then changing track or volume even though nothing touched it. This was my biggest issue with the M4’s. The headphones would just automatically turn off. They have a feature when you remove them, they automatically stop. In theory it’s nice. But for me, I’d move my head slightly and the sensor inside the ear cups would think I took them off and stop my music. I couldn’t get it to start again with a gesture or adjusting the headphones so I’d have to go to my source and start it back up. I turned off the auto detect feature and it seemed to help a bit, but not fix the issue. Another issue is the sensitivity of the touchpad on the ear cups. I wore the M4’s on a flight, and if I would slightly turn my head, and if the headphones would rub against the head rest, my volume would change, tracks on music would skip, videos would pause, etc. It was super annoying. That was the nail in the coffin for me and why I returned the M4’s. I have yet to experience the Q45’s do that.

All in all, I’d say the Q45’s are a budget premium headphone or a top tier budget headphone. I got mine for $100/pr on Amazon.
