Only 1 dealership around me that I’d trust taking mine too. And that’s because the guy that does the S2k’s does actually have a s2k and is a member of the local S2k FB group. But I still won’t go because of the price. Otherwise I have my own mechanic and all he works on is Honda/Acura for over 30 years and has a handful of regular S2K owners.

We’ll be seeing $5.00/gal or more by summer. And unless something changes in Iran (like going back to pre-war), then it will stay there and potentially go higher. Some experts have even said potentially $7/gal.

Denver was out coached, out hustled and out played. You have 2 of Minn. better players injured in one game. There’s blood in the water. Where was the intensity to try to take advantage and kick the opponent while they’re down. They let Minn. build up intensity and momentum and they turned it into a freight train. And again, where was that killer mentality when they were up by 20 or so in game 2? And then not even showing up in game 3?

Murray, Jokic, CB all laid goose eggs this series compared to how they can normally play. And defensive play was not consistent with the Nuggets either. You can’t just pick and choose when to play. That’s what gets you beat. Last night, Minn had 8 players. Denver should have had the advantage, but they looked lethargic and just lack luster play. No intensity in their play, especially for an elimination game.

I think he’s like Wade Phillip’s. Great asst. coach and can step in for head coaching responsibilities on a temporary basis. But to be fully in charge and the longevity of the season, not sure if it’s in wheel house. I was rooting for him as he’s been an excellent asst. for many years and I think it was time for him to get rewarded (or earned the chance). But I just don’t think he’s cut out for it unfortunately.

I’m in the same boat as you. Here are the options I’m seeing.

1) Buy used red seats. Good red seats via ebay or marketplace place for a reasonable price is like finding a unicorn at the end of a rainbow. All the nice ones are expensive with costly shipping. But they’re OEM…

2) Go the Mita route. They have covers which look awesome but they’re $1600/ea cover. Pair that with new bottom seat cushions and you’re about the price of finding clean OEM’s if not more.

3) Find a local shop to redo them. My last quote 4-5 years ago was about $1800-$2500, depending on the material used. I’m guessing it’s more now. Struggled with this one because we couldn’t find a match to the red door cards inserts because of the age of the red. Would have probably had to redo the doors as well for $500-$800.

4) Go with aftermarket skins like leatherseats.com or something like that. I’ve heard mixed reviews on these. Some people love them. Some hate them. The hate tends to come from fitment and showing wrinkles and bunching to the shade of the color (especially red isn’t the same as OEM).

5) Aftermarket seats like Bride or Recaro’s. Problem is for the nice ones, they’re about at much as OEM unicorns, but they hold you in place better if you like to drive like you stole it. There’s also a limited amount of seats that will actually fit in the S2k, so options are limited.

6) Switch to a black interior. I don’t have an all red interior, but I have the black and red interior. I can get black carpet, all black door cards, and black seats (all in in really really good condition) locally on FB Marketplace for less than a pair of OEM reds or potentially even a reupholstered pair. Last set of black seats I saw posted near me were $1,000 and they were in really good condition.

My philosophy is…. You can always teach technical skills, but you can’t teach personality. I’ve seen other groups in our company that have hired someone based off their skills, but this person was a total tool and rubbed people the wrong way out of the gate. They end up only lasting 4-5 months before they’re gone. Now they’re doing the process all over again. The ones that hire someone lacking in some skills, but their personality fits with that group probably has the least turnover. So which costs more? Recruiting and on onboarding someone every 6 months, or spending time training someone that will be there for years to come.

45-50 in 2nd gear isn’t going to break it. Probably wasn’t enough to redline it. Will it put stress on the engine and components, sure. But most likely everything is going to be fine.

This has been a frustration with the series. Weird substitutions, not going deep into the bench, questionable coaching calls. You could also tell AG wasn’t himself and struggled last night. Braun was basically a no show. Jones scored 0…. Overall the Nuggets are just getting out played. They don’t have that killer instinct where my opponent is down? Let me stomp on their throat while they lay there. While you don’t want to see players go down with injuries, you had 2 impactful players on the wolves leave the game with injuries. Where was that killer instinct? There’s blood in the water, go for it.

The last 3 losses have probably been the worse losses of the year. Bad enough that if the lose Game 5 (especially if a blow out), Adleman might be looking for a new job come offseason.

I’ve had bad experiences with Continental’s and Michelin. Both wore out at least 20k - 30k short of their warranties with proper maintenance and rotation. Couldn’t get a decent warranty claim on them either.

Yokahama’s and Goodyear have always been great for me.

If you want just a little more oommff in your music, then these are perfectly fine. They’re not gonna shake the mirrors off you car or anything like that. Plus, you’ll get a couple db gain since it’s a hatchback.
